I was hesitant in purchasing this item because a previous reviewer indicated that the magnetic sliding doors kept falling off. Since I had purchased another tv stand from Overstreet earlier and was very pleased, I decided to purchase this one. I am very pleased with this purchase. The stand is sturdy and appears very elegant. All of my friends and relatives believe it to be very expensive. I found adjustable screws on the back of each door. If adjusted, the doors will stay on. (The instructions do not allude to this). I found the numbered parts to be easy to assemble. I would strongly recommend this tv stand.

I read the reviews but was not worried! I have never had a problem with anything I have bought from Overstock in the past two years. The stand arrived in perfect condition with all the parts & no dings! It was easy to assemble, took two people, a little patience, and careful reading. I couldn't find anything that would match my existing furniture or the right size or the price I was willing to pay! Overstock was the last place I looked and I found exactly what I wanted and for the price I wanted. The color was perfect and everything fit into the wall niche perfectly! The HD TV sits at the perfect height and everyone loves it! My family and I couldn't be happier! I should have looked on Overstock first and saved myself some time and energy! Thanks Overstock! Keep up the good work! I have only had to return an item once and have never had a hassle. Customer Service has always been excellent whether by email or phone.

A little on the difficult side to put together but the end result is beautiful! LOVE IT with my 47inch LG

I've just recently purchased this, along with several items that I've bought for our new home. I was very pleased with the ease of assembly, however, it did arrive slightly damaged. Nothing that I can't overlook (and even fix with a little dark brown marker). Perhaps it got mishandled during transit. Overall, I am happy with the purchase and I would definitely buy from Overstock again. I was particularly happy with the lamps & buffet that I also bought. Good quality & they look alot more expensive that what I actually paid.

Let me start with the positive - the wood is heavy and looks gorgeous. The product is well packaged. The cabinet is very easy to assemble (I'm an avg size female and had no problems) even with just one person working on it. Now for the not-so-good - Some of the pieces come partially assembled and the assembly job is not good - you can see where the glue was applied and oozed out around edges, it doesn't look nice. While the piece was well packaged there were scrapes and gouges in some of the wood pieces - because these were located around the 'pre-prepared' areas and given the packaging, these scrapes had to be on the pieces before they were packaged. Also, one of the end pieces had a huge crack - again, had to be there prior to packaging.... HOWEVER - I contacted Overstock for a replacement piece and received it within the week. The new piece was beautifully finished (without the gouges/scrapes/glue issues) - so the problems I experienced may just be due to one specific worker. I am happy with the end result - mainly thanks to O's quick and courteous staff.

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box for this media stand. The quality of materials and color of the piece was better than I expected. It was easy to put together and is very solid. It looks like a much more expensive piece of furniture. I shopped around for a while before finding something that not only fit in my budget but also looked great. I definitely recommend this item!!

The dimensions fit perfectly with my TV and audio components. Construction is solid and it is a nice looking piece. A very good deal at this price.

I usually love Overstock.com but was disappointed overall in this product. My husband had a challenging time putting this product together. Once it was put together we discovered that the magnetic sliding doors constantly come off the track. I'm tempted to just take them off altogeher because it's such a hassle. Too bad because the size and look are quite appealing.

The shelf itself is very sturdy. Some parts are made with MDF but some parts are made with solid wood. It took me about 1-1/2 hour to put it together. The instructions on the manual are legible and clear, and the parts are numbered to help you match them correctly. However, for those of you who like to use power tools, don't screw the nails too tightly. Otherwise you will ruin the other joint screws that suppose to bite onto them. Good thing that they included a couple of extras, otherwise, I would need to buy some more.

When I first opened the media cabinet shipment, I noticed that one of the integral pieces, the open shelf where ancillary components, such as a cable box or dvd player would sit, was crushed on the end corners and the laminate chipped on the front and back edges (the box weighs 85 lbs as delivered). As this piece would be visibly shown when put together, there was no way I could disguise the chips, nor could the shelf be secured because the corners were crushed and thus could not be bolted to the adjoining parts. I contacted Overstock, and they required that I take digital pictures of the part in question and email it to their attention in order to obtain a replacement from their warehouse, rather than return the entire cabinet. I complied, but could not assemble the cabinet without that piece. Within one week I received the replacement shelf. Much to my dismay, the replacement shelf was received again chipped with a one large chip of laminate missing, unfortunately on the edge that would face outwards on the front of the piece. I once again contacted Overstock, and they required again that I take digital pictures of the damaged piece, and repeat the entire process again. While I reluctanly complied with this request, and was willing again to wait for another replacement piece, the handyman which was working on my home renovation offered to fill the chipped edge with wood putty and stain that area to match the rest of the piece. After contacting Overstock, they agreed to issue me a refund for the amount of the repair. Once that issue was resolved, I proceeded with assembly of the piece. It was a cumbersome piece to put together, and some of the predrilled holes where the camlocks go were misaligned. While it is a handsome piece with a good looking finish, the workmanship is iffy, and there are is more MDF and laminate particle board than there is solid Asian rubber wood. This bargain ended up not being the usual, quality bargain that Overstock typically provides. However, throughout the ordeal, the Overstock folks provided excellent customer service, and the rep which handled the request for a repair credit did so with empowerment and efficiency.

Excellent stand for the price. Looks like it cost a lot more. Very sturdy.

My boyfriend and I put it together in around an hour. The color is great and beautiful veneers. We have a 46" flat screen and it is a great size match. We also got the matching bookcase and desk which took around an hour to assemble both. I would recommend this to anyone.

the dowel and camlock assembly is okay but i've found with this and other products it's not totally adequate. i put this product together by myself so it can be done - i'm a 58 yr old woman.
