I knew i would cover the cushions because I did not care for a "sage" green rattan sofa. However, upon arrival which was ontime and in 2 boxes, I realized the color was not green at all but a Khaki- tan-Taupe-ish color. I was delightfully suprise. That was the exact color I wanted. There will be no need to cover the cushions. The wood is strudy and strong. The wood color is a rich mahogany type color--not too dark or too bright. Another surprise.....the sofa is HUGE. If I sit all the way back my feet is raised from the floor. I am 5'6". Did I mention, I love it. I bought the chair as well.

I have been searching for a rattan sofa for over a year. This one arrived this morning (on time as promised). It is beautiful; although, it is not as green as the photo would have you to believe. The box indicates the color as "Silver Mink". I agree with the purchaser of the Ellis chair (review dated November 23, 2007), it is of a taupe color. But the color looks great!

This IS a beautiful sofa. But mine arrived with the seat portion damaged. Customer service arranged for it to be returned and sent a new sofa. It is damaged, left section where the side connects to the back was broken. My handyman used wood glue and a clamp and now it's wait and see. One of the pegs was broken and a hole had to be redrilled. Just be prepared to do a little hands on repairs. Also, silver mink, the cushion color, is very taupe. Note: Overstock staff has been helpful throughout this aggravating event.

This is a really beautiful sofa, but if you are average height (or less) it may be a problem. When you sit down you are so far off the ground your feet may not touch. The most comfortable way to sit is to put your feet up on the sofa, too. It has no arms to speak of, and I thought I didn't need them, but you'd better think about it carefully. The color of the upholstery depends upon the type of light. A "daylight spectrum" light bulb will make it look green, whereas florescent light will make it look tan. Very nice fabric. It's easy to put together, only six bolts, with good instructions. It's gorgeous, and I know in time I'm going to love living with it.

My husband & I ordered the couch & chair for a new sunroom we're building. They arrived on Christmas Eve via UPS. Assembly was easy. These pieces are beautiful from all angles and will be great in our new space. Not only that but our over 6 ft tall son can stretch out and still have room! There were a couple minor problems, one of the dowel pins was bent and had to be tapped straight to allow insertion and a couple washers were missing but were easily replaced with "garage extras". Both the couch and chair appear to be well made and sturdy. All our holiday guests enjoyed them. The seat depth allows everyone to tuck their feet and get comfy!

I purchased this sofa about 2 years ago. It's cushions have held up with a family of small children, pets and grown ups who lounge on it all day! This peice of furnature has really been great! The quality of materials is great, just be sure to use wood glue with the screws. We have had to tighten them a few times!

Love the sofa, color is not as pictured (less green).Large piece; you need to put it together in the room where you want it; once assembled it will not fit through a doorway.Biggest complaint that I have about it is that if you get anything wet on the cushions it leaves a mark because it alters the texture of the fabric. So even if you spill water on the sofa it makes a "stain."

This is a beautiful piece. The sofa color works with may others. The wood finish is beautiful. It is a little stiff being all new and everything. Think the cushions will be good for a while. It is very DEEP. You just cannot imagine the size with a tape measure. It is a curl up your legs type of sofa. At 5'4", feet do not reach floor when scooted all the way against the back cushions. Other than that, I love this sofa. It is a beauty and I think it will be the last one I ever buy. On assembly, it did take 4 of us to hold the sides and bottom piece to put together, but hey, it's a big couch. Would recommend.

I received my sofa in a timely fashion and after an easy assembly I found the sofa to be very sturdy and more beautiful than the picture, and the picture was great!

This sofa is fantastic. Excellent quality, very easy to assemble. One note: the various reviews provide a more detailed and accurate description of the sofa.

I had to have an extra pair of hands to assemble but it was simple enough. All parts there and fit. Not the most comfy for sitting but I have short legs. GREAT for sleeping on, and extremely pretty. Fabric description is a little misleading. It's not silver and it's not minky. More like a light khaki green chenille. Price went down another $30 before it was shipped. Customer Service couldn't apply the cheaper price but did give me a credit toward my next purchase. I was happy.

I was looking for an upholstered bench to use with a game table. This Ellis Sofa is perfect. It is sturdy as well as comfortable. The color is not green as pictured. The color is taupe with greyish green undertones. It was better than I could have hoped for.

Beautiful sofa - large, extremely sturdy and WELL-BUILT! Rattan is excellent. Quite a nice addition to my home - I am extremely proud of this addition, and I can hardly believe how low-priced it was. MOST HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

the sofa looks great and solved a major problem for us - namely getting it into a finished basement. The only complaint is that the cushions are very firm and thus not as comfortable as I was hoping for.

The sofa is perfect. Construction, appearance and the overall value is more than I expected. It was simple to assemble, good directions and took less than one hour. It is beautiful and I could not be happier!

Love this sofa. Very deep - great to sleep on. Silver Mink color takes on shades of other colors. Assembly semi difficult because of its size. Sides are very pretty - hate to block with an end table.
