When I burned the motor out on my old Smoothie Elite, I knew I wanted another. This is an excellent deal, it crushed ice super fast. The only problem I had was that the handle broke already, but I was able to slip it back on and can still use it. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase, and this was the best price I could find on it.

Not so ELITE. I was very disappointed in this PLASTIC blender. I guess you get what you pay for, but the stir rod just makes a big mess when you use it. This is no better than a $20 **** blender.

If you do not put the smoothie maker back together correctly it will seep out the bottom. I had this problem and realized what I did wrong. You need to put the blade in first and lock it into place, THEN you insert the blue ring - this lock it all together. If you have the blue ring connected to the blade piece and then connect it to the smoothie maker - it will not lock and be put together correctly and it will seep out the bottom.

After just a cpl weeks of regular use(smoothies, milk shakes) it broke. Liquid seeped out the bottom and I've sent it back to hopefully get my money back. I would NOT buy this again. Looks cool, but that's about it.

I really liked this blender, the blades have no problem handling ice and frozen chunks of fruit. The canister is plastic and not glass which gave it a bit of a cheap feel, but I can't complain about its performance.One issue: We stored all the extra parts inside the canister when it wasn't in use, usually dumping them out onto the counter each time we wanted to make a smoothie. My boyfriend accidentally used the blender and forgot to remove a small piece of plastic that was still inside. The blender jammed. My boyfriend promptly hit the off button and removed the piece of plastic, but the blender has refused to turn on since. I guess the wiring burned out. We had only used it 3 times. Beware all the small useless pieces of plastic that come with this product!

I use this for everything from fresh fruit smoothies to mixing cocktails... very easy to use and I appreciate the mixer stick as well as the easy-to-pour spout.

Great product and would recommend to anyone - makes a great smoothie
