Ottoman is pretty, but not very functional. It has a hump, which doesn't allow you to set a tray on it. Even a cell phone and TV remote slide off the top. Also, it is a little higher than our sofa, so putting up your feet gets unconfortable very quickly. You could remove the lower set of feet under the shelf so that it's not so high, but then you'd lose the funtionality of having a shelf. The space between the shelf and the bottom of the ottoman is also not very much - only about 5.5 inches, so only shallow storage baskets will fit. Only recommended this ottoman for looks, but not for storage, comfort or function.

It looks just like he picture and iw well made. We left the bottom shelf off because the two wood colors didn;t really match that well. I actually like it better this way.

The Elements Ottoman was taupe and not gray however it meshed well with the living room decor. The quality was top-notch as: the fabric was thick and durable and the wood heavy, nicely detailed and full of character. It only garnered four stars because the way it was packaged caused the underlining of the ottoman top to tear. Since the tear was in no way visible it wasn't worth returning. All in all it's a unique piece and adds a designer touch to the living room.

My reason for getting this ottoman was because I had been specifically looking for a tufted top with shelf bottom. For that reason I do like it, as well as I like the distressed wood. This is not a high quality piece and it is definitely overpriced. The fabric is an odd color-a grayish, brownish, almost dark purplish...very hard to describe. I have a large high gloss white tray on top, which looks nice with the other white pieces in my living room. Overall I gave it 3 stars because although the quality/color if off, the design is excellent-soft top for feet to rest on, large enough for a big tray, and I can store my decor books on the bottom shelf. On the fence as to whether I would have purchased it for the price had I seen it prior.

This piece is perfect. It was delivered in a matter of days after I placed my order but then sat in my garage unopened for 3 weeks because I was dreading the assembly. Boy, was I wrong! Assembly consisted of nothing more than unpacking the box and screwing on the legs. This ottoman is very stylish and contemporary and looks like it cost much more than the O.com price. It's also very sturdy but not too heavy to lift and move. I plan to use mine as a coffee table. I would highly recommend this item.

I have to say the price of the Ottoman was ridiculously cheap! When it arrived I was amazed at the quality and craftsmanship. This is definitely the type of ottoman you would buy at a high quality furniture store. Really amazing buy!

The piece arrived and I was shocked how heavy and solid it is (about 70lbs the box said). Solid wood, easy to put together. Looks amazing. Use it as my coffee table. Its is very sturdy. Do not recommend to buy if your looking to sit on it/comfort. Highly recommend.

Currently using this item as a coffee table in our living room. Has a great sophisticated look to it but still affords you the option to put up your feet and kick back as you watch TV. I also keep a mirrored tray on it so we can have casual meals and someplace for me to keep a vase with flowers without worries of the vase tipping over. Color is a little odd, looks like a greyish/mauve color but with the other colors in the room it melds right in. Some form of pellet type stuffing falls out ever so often when it is moved but not enough to be a concern. I like it but will probably relocate it to another room in time once I get the tree stump glass table I really want.

As always with Overstock, no problem with delivery. this was easy assemble, is good for extra seating or to put your feet up. Great for a beach decor

This is a wonderful addition to our living room. The overall look and quality of this item compliments the sophisticate lodge look of the room. Very nice ottoman, exactly what I was looking for. It does look purple-ish in some lights but is very rich looking and stylish. I would describe the fabric color as taupe and the wood as weathered or light brown with some distressing.

So excited to get this-opened the box and heard the "Zonk" sounds-the color is a purple/mauve! Going back! It is not taupe.

This product serves the double purpose of an ottoman and coffee table with the very large shelf below. For small rooms where you want both items but don't really have space for two pieces of furniture, this configuration is perfect.
