Elements Grey Sofa Table with Shelf

First of all, with O rewards and a discount, I got this for only $****. For that price one would expect poor quality but this is anything but. It is HEAVY and thus very sturdy. The reclaimed wood look is rich with different textures and color variation. I would say the finish of the wood is true to the pictures. It's an ash grey color. Assembly is easy: 4 pieces. Reclaimed wood furniture it hot right now and typically very expensive. This is a steal!

Easy to put together and works perfectly to hold an array of green plants under a window in my dining room. Love the shelf below, for some extra storage. Looks nice, although metal is not quite as heavy as I thought it would be, and the wood was actually more brown than gray, which was fine with me.

I bought 2 of these console tables last year, and intend to buy 2 more, but I am hesitant as the wood top on one of the tables has split the entire length of the table. It is very disappointing. I would have given these tables a 5 star review had that not happened. I am very happy with the appearance and function of the tables otherwise.

Comes in flat box. 15-20 minutes to assemble. Wood is obviously not really distressed wood. I think it's real wood, but it's just an OKAY job of distressing. The distressing gives it the grey tint you can see in pictures and other reviews refer to. It's not wobly, but it's not heavy duty. I have it between two dressers in my son's room, with a 50" plasma on top and boxes of toys on bottom. It goes with the modern grey metal look of his room. It's all a matter of perspective. I would have been thrilled with this in college or after college in my first couple apartments. But if you are thinking you are getting a custom looking piece of furniture, or the kind you find on the high end catalog sites, this isn't it. To be fair, this is the chepeast piece of "like sized" furniture in my place, and I guess I'm kind of a furniture snob. I think if this is what's in your budget and you like that trendy modern look of steel/wood with a semi-distressed feel to it, this is worth buying. Just temper your expectations if you think this will look like the $500-1500 pieces in expensive catalogs.
