An Electrolux in Every Home
I love my new Electrolux Ultra Silencer vacuum cleaner. It's first and foremost, a very quiet, very powerful machine. The speed control on the top of the cleaner can be set to 'gentle' suction (it won't drag the throw rugs on this setting) or 'super' suction (for bare floor cleaning). The nozzle adjusts for rug as well as bare floors - and doesn't scratch hard wood. The edge cleaning is WONDERFUL, I don't have to bend down with the crevice tool to clean edges any longer. The dusting brush/upholstery nozzle combination tool is fantastic - just like the one on mom's 1950's Electrolux. It flips over while cleaning the furniture for use as a dusting brush for the moldings. Perfect! The bag holds a lot, even though it looks small. It's made of Hepa cloth (called the "clinic" bag) - combined with the Hepa filter cartridge (which is WASHABLE for the life of the vacuum) - the air is clean and dust free coming back into the room. No dust smell or odors. Overall, this is an Excellent vacuum. I like the fact it's made from recycled plastic. Only one thing bothers me, but it's a little thing - the "Electrolux" my mother had and my New Electrolux are not made by the same company. My "Electrolux" is actually a Eureka. Mom's old Electrolux was made by a company now called Aerus. It's important to know that before buying - while the new "Ultra Silencer" is very good, and a wonderful value, the door to door Electrolux salesman doesn't carry the bags (but Lowes does).

best machine ever.
This is the best vacuum I have ever used. I have been cleaning houses for 10 years and I thought my vacuum was good until I bought my new electrolux. I love this product. I used to have to vacuum the same spots over due to dog hair etc., now one sweep and it is done. The other great thing is that this is a quiet machine. I can vacuum my house while my husband sleeps and it does not ever wake him up. Finally, this machine is made with recycled plastic and it is very light in weight. I would highly recommend this product.

Love it and it's quiet
The vacuum works great, as any electrolux will. I wasn't impress with the overall quality of the vacuum, especially for the price, but the suction is amazing, it is easy to move around and carry, and I can detach the brush to use the hose for the hard to reach areas. The only negative is that I wish it had a rolling brush so that I could use it on the area rugs- that said, it does pretty well alone.

Quiet. For hard floors only.
I have little experience using this machine but after 1 hour I've decided it is going back. I have hw floors through out my house which it works great cleaning. It is very quiet, light, easy to use. However for most of us with hard surface flooring we have at least 1 area rug in our house. Unless I want to keep my old upright for just those rugs, I'd rather have a vacuum that can tackle both surfaces competently. This vacuum can do rugs but not very well. You really need a rotating brush for rugs. And that only comes on canisters with powered heads. If I just wanted something for the hw only I probably would have opted for a cheaper canister. Given the price I think it is a disappointment this is not useful on carpet. Perhaps my fault for not researching it a bit more. Additionally, the width of the vacuum head is not so great which means more passes to cover an area. I think this is a nice little vacuum if you don't mind cleaning your rugs with something else.

Super Quiet.
I was hoping this vacuum had a power head when I purchased it and was disappointed when it turned out not to have it but I should have checked the site description more carefully. The vacuum is the quietest I have ever heard and can be used while the wife is asleep. It also has excellent suction and is lightweight which makes it easy to carry up and down stairs. I am very satisfied with it even though it doesn't have a powerhead.

A beautiful product!
A really awesome vacuum cleaner! I've had several before this one and npthing comes close to this one. Very quiet, relatively small in size, easy to maneuver, very functional. The only con with it is "bag-operated" so you do need to go into the expense of buying new bags every now and then. Otherwise, it's really great.

Electrolux vaccuum
Have not used it enough yet to tell for sure, it's a bit flimsy in the brush and pipe material but easy to handle and very quiet.

My Dream Vacuum
I am in love with this new vacuum. We have a ton of stairs in our house so we needed something that was lighter with a smaller head and this fits the bill! Its extremely quiet, our dog doesn't even mind it - he used to bark incessantly at our old vacuum. It probably wouldn't be great for huge wide open spaces since the head is a little smaller but it works great for our rooms where we have a lot of furniture to go around, it fits into corners and under chairs without having to move them. The suction is great as well - it glides smoothly over our wood floors and also works well on the carpets upstairs. I would highly recommend this vacuum, its a great value!!
