My husband and I love our new tea kettle. We especially like the "stay warm" feature as well as all of the other settings. No plastic smell or taste as with our old electric tea kettle. Service from Overstock.com was great.

This kettle didn't last a year! It broke about half way through the year and it was a Christmas present.

The electric kettle has a nice design, heats quickly and keeps the water warm, Enjoy making tea and not having to heat a kettle. The appearance is true to what is displayed on the web site. I would recommend this product. It sell out fairly quickly, I had to wait for it to become in stock again, received an email notification when it was available and it shipped quickly.

Performs beautifully and reliably; can be tricky to fill, just takes a little getting used to.

I got this to replace my Cuisinart that died. I really like the style of the other better- but it is still working. Purchased a 2 yr warranty.

I love this electric kettle. Buying on overstock.com was by far the best price out there. The kettle does it job, maybe even a little too fancy for me as different boiling temps. don't seem to make a huge impact on my drink. It looks great on my counter with all my SS appliances. I love the fact that it has the automatic turn off so I feel like I'm not wasting energy keeping water hot all day and night. It's also fast to heat up your water....as fast as a microwave or faster and the temperature stays hot longer.

This is the perfect electric kettle to make tea ! I upgraded my former stainless steel electric kettle with this one and I LOVE it. It is so convenient. The temperatures are written as well as the kind of tea, 6 preselected buttons : 160F delicate, 175F green, 185F white, 190F oolong, 200F french press and boil black. There is a convenient keep warm feature that allows you to get a second steep. Contrary to some reviews I read, you CAN turn off the kettle by pressing the start button once more while replacing the kettle on its base. You can also turn the blue light off by pressing that button again. You do not need to leave it on your counter while not in use or unplug it. It can sit on the base without being turned on. I guess people just don't read instructions and then complain. We also LOVE the fact that it is a lot quieter than our previous electric kettle and does its job so quickly !!!! Highly recommended. You won't regret spending more to get a well designed, highly efficient and convenient tea kettle !

Really love this electric kettle. Heats up super quick and enjoy the options for different heat seatings. Looks great and sleek - can't go wrong with Cuisinart. Beats my stove top kettle!

This is a really good looking stainless steel electric kettle with some nice features, but it also has some flaws. First, as others have noted, the body of the kettle does get hot enough to cause a burn. I would not recommend it to be used around children for that reason. Second, the removable/cleanable scale filter interferes with the way the water pours, causing it to come out in two or three separate streams, often missing the cup and spilling onto the counter top. Personally, I think a scale filter is a laughable concept anyway. If you have anything floating around in your water large enough to be trapped in the mesh filter you've got bigger problems than trying to get the perfect cup of tea. The kettle is attractive, and the preset temperatures for different kinds of tea is helpful. I like the warm and hold feature, though I usually don't use it. I've only had it a short time, but I hope it will prove reliable. The only issue I've noticed is that once or twice the lid has gotten stuck and will not open when I push the "open" button. I hope that doesn't continue to be a problem.

We've had this electric kettle for a couple of months now and have used it on a daily basis, multiple times a day to make teas and baby food from scratch. It has worked flawlessly so far and it is fast! It has cool blue LED lights and a "re-boil / keep hot" option (if you forget the kettle and walk away). It is stainless steel on the inside, which is very important to us (you don't want any plastic parts at boiling temperatures because of the toxins released into the water). Our only complaint is that it has a plastic filter at the spout (for loose leaf teas) and the inside of the lid is also plastic. The filter is held in place by a screw that's built into the body of the kettle and a small nut. It took me quite some time (and a bit of pain) to unscrew the nut and remove the filter (the lid opening isn't too wide -- but it's wide enough for cleaning the interior). We keep the lid open to avoid contact of the steam from the boiling water with the plastic. There is also a silicon nub at the bottom that measures the water level. That part is safe from boiling temperatures. Overall, we are very happy with this purchase. We've used cheaper stainless steel kettles in the past but they all broke within a few uses (the automatic shut off went, or they just wouldn't turn on). The built quality on this one seems good. We hope it will last us a few years. Would definitely recommend this kettle to a friend.

The only bad thing I have to say about this is that the entire kettle gets hot. If you have little ones it could be dangerous. I burned myself and will be sure not to touch the kettle again when it is hot. The different levels of heat are great if you are a tea drinker.

My husband loves tea, and the ability to set the temp depending on the type of tea is a great feature of this kettle. It is very well built. We replaced a Sunbeam Hot Shot with this, obviously there is no comparison. You "get what you pay for".

I bought this electric kettle because I was tired of estimating water temperature needed for my Yerba Mate, which is 160 F. Most electric kettles bring water to boiling and then you have to wait for it to cool down to the desired temperature. Not so with this kettle. Just fill it with water, set it on the stand and select the temperature you want. No more guessing. I have tested the temperatures with my calibrated thermometer and it is always within 2 degrees of the selected temperature. At first I was hesitant about paying this much for an electric kettle but after using it for several months I can't live without it now.

This kettle is great. We like the different temperature options. My only reason for not rating it excellent is that I save that rating for truly exceptional items. This electric kettle is very good and satisfies our needs, but doesn't wow the socks off me.

We have had this kettle for almost a year and I find it easy to use and very reliable. I don't really use all the different tea type buttons but if someone are a big tea aficionado it might be useful. This kettle has great functionality but it has started to leak out of the bottom. I like the kettle so much I am tempted to buy another one and chalk this one up to a defect. But then again I don't want to get stuck with the same issue several months later. I haven't seen this as an issue for anyone else so unless I find another killer deal I will probably purchase this model again.

I am very disappointed. I have other Cuisinart products and they have lasted well. This is my second kettle within the year. The first was replaced because it started to leak around the base of the handle. now the second one is doing the same.

We have owned this model for several years and had no problems with it. We use our tea kettle every day both morning and evening and use all the different features. We recently lost our kettle to a power surge so i went online and reviewed several kettles. After about an hour of research i found that this is still the best value out there. I know this is good quality and will give me many more years of good service.

This tea kettle delivers everything we wanted. The easy to read color coded temperature display lets you know when the water temp is perfect for individual types of tea. The handle stays nice and cool as does the spout latch which securely locks open for easy pouring. The surface is easily wiped clean. The capaacity is sufficient for a dozen large cups of tea and the whistle is loud enough to be heard from other rooms. We think it's great.

I love the different temperature settings. it is wonderful for different tea brews. The only complaint I have is that I can not turn it on under the counter, I pull it out as the steam from the kettle can definatly ruin my kitchen cabinet veneers. But not a big deal considering it gets very hot and I don't have to worry about turning it off and love the keep warm option on it as well.
