Love these mills. I bought two, one for salt and one for pepper. Use good coppertop batteries because it must use alot of power. Light at bottom illuminates the food you are seasoning. I looked at the $100 ones but tried these instead and I am not disappointed. Great value for the money, don't hesitate to purchase for yourself or as a gift . They look great on the counter or on the table and having the see-through area makes it easy to see what's inside. It comes with a bottom cover, so extra small bits don't fall out on the counter. They look and should be much more expensive. Maybe I'll buy some more for the boat and our second home.

While I didn't buy these from Overstock, I received the exact same salt/pepper mill set as a "prize" gift. This wasthe second set of battery operated mills I have had. The first set (different manufacturer) I bought at Walmart lasted about three months, until my cat knocked one off the table. It never worked right after that, so I was excited to get this set and give it a try. The salt mill worked for about a week, then stopped grinding. It appears that the gears inside the unit are stripped. The motor still works, but the grinder doesn't turn! Don't waste your money on cleaply made battery operated mills. I'm wondering if the really expensive ones on this site work better. Maybe they have all-steel gears that will not strip so easily. Hmmm...

These two mills are one of the best purchases I have made. They do adequate jobs of grinding peppercorn and sea salt. For the price, I can only buy one at retail store. The best part is free shipping. I like it so well, that I'm ordering five more sets for gifts for my kids and friends. Great gift idea that is practical and nice looking.

This is a great product! My boyfriend broke my previous pepper grinder by accident, but this was a great replacement. The only thing I'm wondering about is how long the six AA batteries will last...

We've been using this set for a few weeks now. They work great and look very nice on the table. The allow for easy one handed operation which does not affect the arthritis in my hands. Controlling the grind is accomplished with a little twist and I can have coarse ground or finely ground. This is a very nice addition to the kitchen and it didn't break the bank.

These salt & pepper shakers are super nice. They do require 12 batteries, which is high. They work very well, though.

We love these mills. At times we forget to take the bottom off, and think it's broken. Then take off the bottom, and the salt or pepper goes everywhere. LOL

These are amazing!!! I bought them for my boyfriend for his birthday and he loves them! grinders can make pepper really fine. He loves it! aside from one of the caps on the bottom missing they're great for the price!

One had a bad LED out of the box, and it stoped grinding within 2 days, second one lated about 3 weeks. Had high hopes but was ultimately dissapointed. Can not reccommend.

Product worked well for a time but some of the plastic pieces started to fail. Not very durable. If you want something to last for several years... this is not the product for you.

I use these almost every day. I've had them for almost 9 months and the batteries are still working. There is a little slippage in the mechanism, which is the only detracting factor, but it's only sporadic.

EASY TO SET GRIND SIZE AND YOU DO NOT HAVE TO KEEP RESETTING IT. HAS PLASTIC BASE IT SITS IN SO YOU DO NOT LEAVE GRINDS ON THE COUNTER OR STOVE. 5 STARS ALL THE WAY AND I THOUGHT THEY WERE CHEAP. WHAT A DEAL. I HAVE NEVER WRITTEN A REVIEW BEFORE.
