I love this pair of mill/grinders. I use them for my special Madagascar Black peppercorns and Himalayan coarse pink salt. They grind beautifully and even have a light that shines down on the area to be flavored. They also look great with all my other stainless!

I purchased these Grinders for gifts, so the actual rating on the functionality is still not rated. The appearance and design I rated at a 4 star, they look teriffic! I was not able to rate the overall product a 5 star again because I do not know how well they function.

These grinders are very functional and look good. They fit very comfortable in your hand. I love the two small features on them. The bottom cover and the light. The bottom cover prevents the excess mess that comes along with using a pepper/salt mill. I always had to clean up the area where I last placed my old mills. With the added feature of a bottom cover this helps cut down on leaving trails of salt and pepper. The light is also an added bonus that you'll appreciate when grilling outdoors at night. We have only had ours for a month and so far they are working perfectly. We have no complaints. Searched for pepper/salt mills for awhile and these had the best ratings and a great price! We're just hoping that they continue to work for a long period of time.

I've purchased four sets of these and gave them to three of my friends.. Everyone was pleased, including myself...!

Purchased these in April it is now Sept. The motor heated up the glue that holds the silver chassis in place and the grinder dropped out into the food I was preparing. Sending them back for partial refund and will spend the extra money to try the more expensive model.

I always like to put freshly ground salt and pepper in my recipes, or on my food. However, the hand grind salt/pepper shakers don't seem to provide enough spice without twisting forever and I have arthritis in my hands. I decided to try these battery operated versions. To my surprise, they work - you can adjust the grind - and the spices come out beautifully. I've made several receipes and find that they have made my cooking fun and no stress on my swollen hand joints. If you are looking for a product that provides consistent spice grinding capabilities - this is the product. My only mediocre comment is the design. For me, they are a bit clunky for a nicely set table - so, I use my other ones for the table. However, these salt/pepper grinders look stunning on my counter-top - in my cooking area.

For the money...GREAT! I have seen other smaller more expensive mills. I bought 2. One for salt and one for pepper.

I just got these, one works great and the other barely works. The pepper grinds so fine, you can barely see it and it's so slow to grind. I think they look great. I'm just not sure how long the other one will last.

I bought 2 sets, one for myself and one as a gift. Pop the batteries in and they work great. All you have to do is adjust the fine or coarse. I use one pepper the other for sea salt. I got tiered of the little pepper grind you get at the market, they spread all over. These spread everything even and the light helps you see.

I received this as a gift and I loved the idea of it. However it only worked intermittently at first and then completely stopped working. I changed the batteries, emptied and refilled it and could not get it to work again.

I am very pleased with these grinding mills so far. My husband and I love fresh ground pepper and I had been shopping for an electric mill for some time. I purchased these two and put sea salt in the second one. The only reason I did not rate them as excellent is because we haven't had them for very long.......time will tell.

I have had other more expensive peppermills and thought I would save money by purchasing these which I did, but the grinding mechanism is very slow and pepper just trickles out or does not come out at all. You are better off purchasing a higher end pepper and salt mill.
