I bought this because my husband kept turning on our whistling tea kettle and going outside. I was afraid he would burn the house down. This tea kettle stated in the specifications that as soon as the water boiled, it would automatically shut off. Which would be great EXCEPT it usually shuts off. There have been a few times when it has not shut off and we have had to turn it off manually. The whole reason I got it was the automatic shut off feature. And since it doesn't shut off 100% of the time, we have to keep a close eye on it. Which defeats the reason I bought it. Other than that, it is a nice looking tea kettle. It boils water extremely fast (quicker than on the stove).

This is an excellent kettle. I had been looking for a reliable cordless kettle for awhile. I purchased one from a very well known and respected brand, which turned out to be a real lemon. This kettle, however, is a real good buy. It's well crafted, practical, and looks great. I highly recommend it.

In the past, because I didn't think I could afford a nice one, I always bought inexpensive plug in kettles that eventually burned out. This product is an excellent choice. Heats up quickly; automatic turn off; and water stays hot for some time. I am very pleased with my purchase.

This kettle was great for about five months. Recently it started turning on by itself. This morning it was not working at all. Luckily, I bought the extended warranty. No response yet from that department.

This kettle works great and is so much more convenient than heating water on the stove or in a coffee maker. It heats in seconds.

I saw a similar product in Chile and couln't find anything similar in the States, that is until I looked it in Overstock. Works fast and I think I'm going to use it a lot.
