I bought this model because it has a stainless steel vessel, not just a stainless steel exterior. It works great and we have come to love having hot water always available. By my calculations, we have reduced our hot water heating energy costs by 50% over our prior method. (I used to microwave a quart of water for tea about twice a day; we are a large family. Now that we have hot water "on standby", we find it useful for many other cooking uses - ramen noodles, anyone? - Hard to imagine going back to the old way . . .) This appliance seems to be of very good quality. The brand is Narita (Overstock does not mention this), but I suspect it is made by Sunpentown, since it looks like some of their other models. Recommended.

This dispencer is nice and would hve been a great thins for us to have at our reception area. BUT apparently it doesn't work for Colorado or other high altitude place...

other than 2 units going bad, i loved the 4.5 ltr. capacity. it didn't heat water as hot after a few months; but i just heated the rest in the microwave for a minute. it was very convenient, but i think i will try another brand.

Bought for my sister-she loves it and can have hot water without using the microwave.

The dispenser heated water very quickly and kept it very hot for over 24 hours of use. The only thing I wasn't happy with is that you have to press vvery hard on the dispensing button to get the water out. Someone elderly or weak would have a hard time dipensing water.

This Narita Hot Water Dispenser would cut off whenever it was moved ever so slightly. I think the power cord connection was not good. It worked OK for about 2 years, and then it started to leak, which made it unusable. I would not buy this brand again.

It may be because we live above sea level but I would hope that the future product have temperature so that it could be control anywhere in the world.

I bought this product because its made with steel instead of some nonstick coating but after owning it for seven months it has stopped working. Not only that, after a while the product builds this film at the bottom of the hull where the water is stored and it doesn't come off despite repeatedly cleaning.

We have been using it for couple of weeks now. So far we are very happy with it. We drink lots of hot water during the day. The large capacity works for us. Its quiet and boils fast. I didn't peal the label off yet. Hope it is not as bad as some other buyers mentioned.

I purchased this item for my elderly parent to use for tea. Way too large for her to operate and pump. BUT, I would recommend to an office environment or younger family members for very fast water heating and durability. Easy to read buttons and sturdy.

We had a Toshiba hot water dispenser which lasted for almost 14 years - we replaced it with this one and hope that it lasts as long - so far, so good. The water heats up quickly and is available - our family drinks a lot of tea -hot and iced!

We were looking for a replacement hot water dispenser for our church's coffee hour for the tea and hot chocolate drinkers. Our old one had seen better days. This filled the bill handsomely, clean lines, easy to use, great price.

I bought this dispenser to replace one that had broken down on me. My old dispenser used to constantly make noises when reboiling, but this is so quiet! I never hear it, and it boils fast and am very pleased with its performance so far.

as a tea drinker this is a great unit. It is fast to heat up. Keeps the water hot and ready to go. takes about the same counter space as my old tea kettle but looks much nicer
