These pillowcases are wonderful!!! So smooth and soft to sleep on! With mix and match, I picked out colors that coordinated with my existing sheets. The generous size works perfectly with the gusseted memory foam pillows that I also bought from overstock. The size was the important thing I wanted.
Lovely pillowcases. I don't understand how people can complain about 800 thread count sheets being "too thick or heavy." That's kind of the point. They are quality sheets that will last a long time, and higher thread count sheets are always a little heavy and stiff at first, it just takes a few washings to make them soft, but they will always be really thick. Again, that's the point. The only thing I didn't like was that the gold was a darker yellow than I thought it would be, but that's the risk you take buying things off the internet. Computer screens vary in color projection, but the gold on Overstock does tend to run more yellowish on all screens. (I also bought some sheets which I returned.) I also bought these in taupe, they have a nice sheen to them and match beautifully with my duvet cover. However, they did bleed out a little bit, but I did wash them not on hot on accident, which the instructions say not to do.
Extremely dissapointed in this product, wish I could return it. After many washings, it is still very thick, like a canvas, and not smooth like I would expect from a genuine 800 thread Egyptian cottom. My 5-year old sheets, 340 count Egyptian, are so much softer, after countless washings. Some will be happy with it, but don't expect a shiny sateen or fine soft percale. Pillow case is oversized, which is a plus, and will no doubt wear like iron over the years.
Have ordered sheets on Overstock in the past, including these. Great value...kind of heavy at first, but lighten up after a few washes. Very comfy and makes it hard to get out of bed.
