The fabric of the blind vanes is very nice, a slightly open weave that does let some light through. I was dissapointed that the hanging brackets were not adjustable because the vanes hung too close to the door frame. So we used the old blinds track, just replaced the vanes. The solid covered valance is really nice, but unfortunately we could not use the valance because of this. So, again, we just slipped the fabric into the old valance. Everything looks great.

When measuring for the custom length of this blind, from what points should I measure? I currently have an old set of vertical blinds and the blind slat measures 82 1/4 long.salbow52 on Oct 7, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Hello salbow52, When measuring for the length of a vertical blind, measure from the top of the trim to the bottom of the trim and add a minimum of 3 inches for the brackets at the top and at least 1.5 inches below the bottom trim. If measuring to the floor, only add a minimum of 1.5 inches for the brackets at the top. In other words, the length includes the track at the top - it is not just the vane length. We hope this helps and thank you for shopping with us.overstockcustomercare1 on Oct 11, 2013
What is the color of the large picture. It doesn't look like any of the smaller samples.bevsucceeds on Aug 18, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Hi bevsucceeds, we were able to verify this information with our support team. The large picture is a stock photo to represent the style of the blind and the valance. The smaller pictures are the actual colors that are offered at this time. The closest would be Chestnut but it is a little darker than the large picture. We apologize for the confusion the larger option pictured is just a sample. Thanks for shopping with us. overstockcustomercare1 on Aug 20, 2013
Hello lynnann2, The weights at the bottom are sewn in so there is no need for "chains" between vanes, which is a very nice feature. Thank you for shopping with us. overstockcustomercare1 on Jun 27, 2013
I know these blinds open with a chain on the left. My question is, do they pull open from the left to the right or pull open from the right back to the chain on the left? How do the blinds tilt if the chain does the pulling or does it do both?candidawn on Feb 12, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Thank you for your interest. These vertical blinds have a chain and a cord on one end (can be left or right, determined at the time of installation). The chain tilts the vanes and the cord pulls the vanes to one side. The vanes will draw to the same side as the cord and chain. Please feel free to contact us again with any further questions.

can these blinds be cut to 70 in width??? i would really like to purchase them but 78 would be too widekattiejay on Apr 9, 2012Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
We never recommend cutting or modifying items due to the way they are constructed. It will ruin or damage the item if they were cut. I was able to find different dimensional sizes of this same shade. The mechanism used to open the blinds is a pull chain and it is located on the left side of the blinds.overstockcustomercare1 on Feb 29, 2012
