    My office is very small and faces south and is always hot. None of the fans I bought did the job of cooling. This swamp cooler is fantastic. It takes about 5 minutes after turning on to cool the office. I have used it every day for two weeks and there have been no problems. Would highly recommend.

    the unit is great. it really cools down our small apartment. we haven't used it too much since it hasn't started getting too hot, but it works good to get the stuffiness out of the apartment when we get home. the water tank is huge which is good. everything is good except we didn't expect it to be so large. so make sure you read the dimensions and take that into consideration..

    No idea why it doesn't cool. It's not a complex machine but it seems that a PHD in Biology isn't enough to figure it out. The Edgescar customer service was also as knowledgeable and helpful as you would expect. Now the hassle of boxing it back up and returning it...sigh.

    • You could, but I doubt you get much cooling. Any time the relative humidity is above 50%, these don't do much.

    • I wouldn't use this anywhere you have humidity. Evaporative coolers only cool well in dry climate. That is the mistake a lot of people make. They purchase evaporative coolers to use in a humid climate and then are disappointed when it doesn't work well. You need an AC unit in humid climate or just a fan.
