I have had two of these. The first one was delivered with a bad internal component and never worked. After a nightmare with customer service they agreed to replace it. The replacement broke after about 6 months. Total waste of money. Maybe others had better luck, but my experience was horrible. Unlike a regular freezer which is much colder than freezing this ice never gets below the freezing temperature (there is standing water in the bottom of the ice compartment and the ice forms on "cold fingers") So the ice melts quickly in your cup.

we have frequent dinner parties - w/ this product, ice is no longer an issue - we just start it up the day before and have plenty of ice for drinks and keeping soda, beer and wine cold

I bought this ice maker approximately 2-1/2 years ago after our new refrigerator's ice maker couldn't keep up with our needs (a recurring problem). Although my husband was skeptical, it didn't take long for both of us to realize that this was the answer we'd been looking for. Now we don't even use the refrigerator ice maker. We always have plenty of clean tasting, fresh ice. My husband often bags extra ice to take on the river. If this machine ever gives out, I'll immediately buy another. My daughter & son-in-law were so impressed, they bought the identical unit. I would highly recommend this unit.

I read the reviews from other customers, and I felt good about buying this ice maker. We were tired of filling ice trays and a ice maker for the freezer would be twice the cost of this mechine. It does make good ice cubes, we use the large cubes, it took almost 2 hours to fill the basket up this first time and it make about 12 cubes in 10 mins. The only thing I wish is, that it would keep the ice frozen, you need to empty the basket after you hear it fall or it starts to melt. I dump the basket onto a cookie and put it in the freezer so the cubes dont freeze together. We do bag the cubes, you can make a bag in about 1/2 a day. My husband use it for the cooler in the boat, the cubes held up all day, kept the fish and drinks cold. It is kinda big on the counter, but I had the space. Over all I'm glad I bought it.

We do not have an automatic icemaker on our refrig. When we had large family gatherings we ran out of ice. Not with this ice maker. We are very pleased with the cubes (we make large) and how many are made at a time. We put them in plastic zip bags and put them in the freezer until needed. We have even packed it up and taken it in our r.v. for summer camping. Great purchase. Have seen them advertised for more than what I paid through Overstock.

It makes ice fast, but the cubes are so small, and it is a big deal just to use it. We have it at a vacation place in case extra ice is needed. Not used very often.

This is a great little machine. We used this for the summer at a vacation rental which had no ice maker. This worked perfectly. We did not buy ice all summer. The first one I was sent did not work but I was sent another one and that worked perfectly. No hassel on the return.

Overall I've been pretty happy with this ice machine. It has some quirks that sometimes drive me crazy such as: 1) it will only make ice in the 'small' setting (won't work in medium or large). 2) sometimes its needs to be unplugged to get it to reset once the ice has been emptied. 3) sometimes it won't make ice without me turning it on and off continuously. 4) it was very expensive to have this many quirks. However having said that it does work more often then not which is why I never returned it. Overall through I would hesitate to recommend this to others just based on the unreliability of the produce working.

Great product for the price! The ice maker began working immediately after cleaning and filling. We did follow the directions and let it sit for 24 hours after arriving as we doubted Fed Ex kept it upright !! I highly recommend this product for occasional extra ice need.

I ordered this for my brother-in-law who was stationed in Afghanistan. I shipped it to him and he was very pleased with it. He said it was a nice treat to have ice over there. He says it worked great.

I purchased this ice maker because our refrigerator ice maker is broken. This ice maker is a million times better than any fridge ice maker I have owned in the past. It produces a lot of ice quickly, is quiet, and doesn't take up much space. We love it, and we have athletes in our home who constantly need ice for their water and sports drinks. You can't go wrong with ice maker. We have been using it since 12/10, and no problems.

We use this ice maker on our boat. We having it going 24/7 so we always have ice, we like the med cube setting the best. Very happy with this ice maker.

This ice maker is great! It sure beats filling individual ice trays. Even though it is not refrigerated, the melted ice water continues to make more ice.

very happy! came in 2 days ,just plug in and fill with water Ice is ready in 10 minutes. I use large size I think it's best. No complaints at all.

It is a bit noisy but I think that is the nature of the beast. It definitely keeps up with demand! When I am going to have company I just run it all day the day before and bag the ice so we don't have to listen to it during the party. I can go through a lot of ice but I never run out.

This is a great ice machine...doesn't take up a lot of space but produces a whole lot of ice..In fact the ice-maker in my new refrigerator/freezer cannot keep up with it. This is a fantastic product. Well worth the price.

Haven't owned one of these before and needed for a vacation home. As long as you transfer the ice to the freezer when the machine is full we should have adequate ice for 4 or 5 people

This ice machine is still working after a year! The cubes aren't that big and it dosen't freeze as fast as it states but all in all it is great not to have to pour water into little trays. We keep a big bag of ice on hand for drinks and coolers. It is still kicking out the cubes but get the extended plan just to make sure it won't break on you! Good machine and a must have!

This ice maker was pretty easy to use and it spits out ice fairly quickly. Just be ready to move the made ice to a freezer if you're not immediately going to use it - it doesn't keep the ice frozen so it will eventually melt back into the reservoir. I bought this because I keep a cooler of sodas constantly in my car and wanted to make some "reserve" bags of ice in the freezer. Does the job for sure.
