    I really enjoyed the product last night the only default is the hose is not long enough so I have to rearrange my room. I would like to tell the customer service rep who helped me thru this whole problem that I thank her so much for taking the ball and running with it with me in making sure that I was satisfied .   • Made In China junk

    Poorly made machine that cannot get the job done in a 15x25 garage area. We spent 60 building a customs vent for it and when we finally put it to use it would run but just wasn't able to handle the mild 80 degree heat. Scary to see how it fails during 100 degree weather. I admit that my garage is not the best sound test, but this is just about as noisy as a jig saw cutting though wood. I would hardly imagine using it in a bedroom. I would stay away.

    We have a bonus room above the garage that is ducted with the rest of the house for central A/C and heat, but it is not zoned separately and our central air just was not cooling that room, especially during our HOT Texas summers. The room is about 450 square feet, but has less volume than a typical 450 square foot room because of slanted side walls. This unit is more than adequate to cool the entire room and the enclosed stairway, which is probably another 50 square feet total. We have used it regularly for over a month and have had no trouble at all. The only issue we had was the plastic plate to insert the vent into the window has no insulation, so a lot of heat was coming in there. We added some insulation and it seems to have stopped the heat, thereby allowing the unit to work even better. This was a great purchase, and our first electric bill after getting this unit was much lower than expected; we suspect that is because the central unit wasn't having to work harder to cool that room.

    This unit is supposed to cool up to a 500 square foot area. We purchased it to cool a small 250 square foot office that we built in our backyard. The office is well built and well insulated. It has three small windows in which we have installed blinds in. We have had the unit set up for about a week now and it runs constantly. The only time it reaches 79 is at night. It stays on 80-83 all day which is NOT sufficient for the computer equipment we need to run our business. We even have a ceiling fan and another floor fan running constantly also to help it circulate the air and it just simply is not sufficient. I am dreading seeing our next light bill. We definitely expected more out of this unit since our office is only 250 square feet. I would NOT recommend this unit to anyone in the south, because it simply cannot keep up with the heat. It is not even officially summer here. It is only May!

    The a/c mode is excellent. However, the heateing mode is terrible. First off the unit is not a heater, but a heat pump. the temperature range max out at 77. The sensor is located next to the condensor coil so in a matter of 2-3 minutes the thermoter goes from 63 to 77 without a noticeable change in room temp. I contacted the manufacture. Their response was to place the unit 4 feet from all walls and if did not help, pull out the sensor from the back of the unit.

    I'm very skeptical that this is a 12000 btu air conditioner. If it cannot cool a well insulated, dimly light small server room below 76 degreees, I don't think it even works right. I was also very fortunate to be working on the servers when I noticed a puddle of water around the unit. If it was overnight, who knows what damage it would have done. Really aggravating product. Fail.
