Disappointed
This unit is supposed to cool up to a 500 square foot area. We purchased it to cool a small 250 square foot office that we built in our backyard. The office is well built and well insulated. It has three small windows in which we have installed blinds in. We have had the unit set up for about a week now and it runs constantly. The only time it reaches 79 is at night. It stays on 80-83 all day which is NOT sufficient for the computer equipment we need to run our business. We even have a ceiling fan and another floor fan running constantly also to help it circulate the air and it just simply is not sufficient. I am dreading seeing our next light bill. We definitely expected more out of this unit since our office is only 250 square feet. I would NOT recommend this unit to anyone in the south, because it simply cannot keep up with the heat. It is not even officially summer here. It is only May!

Completely defective
Are you serious? How can you have a product that hardly cools, constantly leaks and shorts the breaker every other time the compressor activates? This is hazard waiting to happen. What a joke.

Very loud, take hours to cool room. Fits fine in its location, can feel cool if you walk up on it.

bad heater
The a/c mode is excellent. However, the heateing mode is terrible. First off the unit is not a heater, but a heat pump. the temperature range max out at 77. The sensor is located next to the condensor coil so in a matter of 2-3 minutes the thermoter goes from 63 to 77 without a noticeable change in room temp. I contacted the manufacture. Their response was to place the unit 4 feet from all walls and if did not help, pull out the sensor from the back of the unit.

good product
We did considerable research before selecting this item, and have been very pleased with its performance. It does a wonderful job cooling the area and it was very easy to install. We have not yet seen a power bill to see how much energy it is using, but I would have no qualms about recommending this item to anyone interested in such a product.

Works great!
We have a bonus room above the garage that is ducted with the rest of the house for central A/C and heat, but it is not zoned separately and our central air just was not cooling that room, especially during our HOT Texas summers. The room is about 450 square feet, but has less volume than a typical 450 square foot room because of slanted side walls. This unit is more than adequate to cool the entire room and the enclosed stairway, which is probably another 50 square feet total. We have used it regularly for over a month and have had no trouble at all. The only issue we had was the plastic plate to insert the vent into the window has no insulation, so a lot of heat was coming in there. We added some insulation and it seems to have stopped the heat, thereby allowing the unit to work even better. This was a great purchase, and our first electric bill after getting this unit was much lower than expected; we suspect that is because the central unit wasn't having to work harder to cool that room.

Good value for the price
Good product and cools great but is quite noisy. I,m a light sleeper but for some people it will probably not be a problem

We bought this unit because it has ac and heat. The room that it is used in is about 300 sq ft and does not have any duct work. The ac and heat both work well so that we can use the room all year round. We did research to find a good product at a great price with dual functions. Great Unit!!!

I ordered this about a month or two ago. To this day i have not had a problem. It was quick and easy to set up. I was most impressed with the shipping. The product was on my doorstep within 3 days.
