Fridge was shipped fast with no damage and worked well. Easy to set up, just press arrow to temp you want. Mine is connected to solar 250w, 175ah 12v battery backup system, in Seattle area. It drained the battery dead after 3 days of poor sunshine at 0 degree f setting. Basically, my setup needs a larger battery bank is the conclusion I've come up with. Now, the sun is shining more and I changed the setting to 7degrees. It fluctuates between 3deg-9degrees at this setting (good enough for icecream storage). The battery is maintaining its charge so far, but I plug it into household plug on occassion. Hopefully when I increase battery bank to 350ah it will be fine to leave on the battery full time.

  • This product failed 4 days into my 12 day trip.

    4 days in our trip in New Mexico, this decided to stop cooling on the 12v. Just quit on us with it stocked full of supplies. Upon closer inspection, you can tell that this is not a well made item. The handles also start to crack and looks like it was about to snap. Bad experience and will not take the risk again. Never head of this brand but decided to give it a shot the price was decent. Still kicking myself over it.

  • Can I leave it connected to BOTH 12V DC & 110v AC and it choose what to run on? Or do I only connect one at a time? The Engel brand lets you connect both and it runs on 110v when present, and when not it defaults to 12V power.
