Being sealed in plastic packaging sometimes traps odors. A few hours of airing usually removes the odor.

Put this on an old twin bed I am sleeping on while staying at my mom's. I have struggled with this bed for years every time I visit. This time I am here on a "temporarily permanent" basis. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I was about to purchase a new box springs and mattress. My back is bad from a previous injury and I was having really bad nights.....I was at war with this bed and the bed was winning....This topper changed the mattress literally overnight into the most comfortable bed it has probably ever been.....I am sleeping on a completely different mattress... I bought this topper for a full sized mattress. We bought the cheapest new mattress the store offered, and this topper easily makes the cheap-o mattress feel like the mattresses that were $100 or $200 more expensive.
After reading all the reviews I chose this matress pad because it was in my price range. I must say I am NOT dissapointed. It's soft and comfortable. We bought this matress pad for the guest bedroom and now I want to use it for my own room. It's slightly firm and I like that. I would definately reccomend this.
This is the second mattress topper I have purchased. When I moved to Florida it was time for a replacement. The only thing that I did differently this time was that I ordered a King size for a Queen size bed and cut it down to size. The reason being that I wanted it to cover the entire mattress. It was easy to cut I did it with a scissor and it looks and feels great ! There was no odor, it was shipped and received as expected and I could not be happier with the product. I strongly recommend it for people with any kind of joint or back issues for a good night's sleep !
