This piece is perfect in my entry way as I do not have a hall closet. It was a little time consuming, lots of screws but when I was finished I was very happy. It can hold several jackets and hats. The seat is stable but I wouldn't want a heavy person to sit there, the framework is a bit slight.

This is nice for an apartment or starter home carpeted hallway entrance (carpet helps because it is light-weight and a bit wobbly, the wobbly-ness can be reduced by weighing down or stability-strap).The pricing should be a little lower however, this piece cost more on other internet sites and shipping is much more, the better bargain is on OVERSTOCK for now.
I love this coat rack bench. Everyone that comes in the front door compliments me on it. It is so, so useful for our family. We hang aboiut 6 light weight coats on it, a diaper bag, my purse, hats and scarves at one time. My husband was not a big fan of ordering it at first being unsure about quality and necessity. Now that it is here, I get to rub it in his face all of the time, how great it is. It fits perfectly in our small entry way and does not get in the way of coming in and out of the door.
It took me about 1 hour to put it together and I had my 15 months old tryint to climb me all time!It's pretty easy and looks great in my foyer. The cushion is better than I expected. Very nice.
