Very nice looking. Easy to put together. Functional. Nice and stable (if you have little kids who would otherwise topple a regular coat rack!). We did spray the cushion with Scotchguard because it looks like the kind that can stain easily (the cover is removable though). And we also put stick-on non-slip grips on the bottom of each leg to prevent it from sliding across the hardwood floor and a piece of stick-on felt on the back so that it would not scratch or stain the white wall behind. I recommend this item.

As other reviewers mentioned, one of the holes was not drilled properly. We don't have a powerful drill, so we had to improvise and it took an HOUR to get that one stubborn screw into its hole. The rest of the assembly was very easy, but you might want to have a big power drill on hand if you're going to buy this. Assembly aside, the piece is attractive, a good size, and very functional. I don't think it'll hold up to a lot of heavy use, but if we're gentle with it, I think it'll last for a few years.

I bought this for my daughter's home where there wasn't an entry closet. It doesn't take up much room, but holds a ton of stuff. It's perfect for sitting and taking boots/shoes on and off. She put baskets on top for scarves and mittens. I shopped around and this was by far the least expensive yet greatest capacity tree bench, and everyone was very pleased with its durability and overall functionality.

We are putting this in our newly built log cabin, which will be used as a rental property. It is very sturdy and great looking at the same time and very functional...... Cannot wait to see what it looks like with all the other black accents on the lamps...

I needed something for my 14 yr. old granddaughter to have a place where she could be neater in regard to her school items such as backpack, laptop, books, etc.,which she had been throwing on the floor. I have high hopes this tree/bench will be an incentive for her to be neater. My son put this together and said he had no problems. What I like about it is that the tree/bench is very versatile with numerous hangers, a place to sit to put on your shoes, and a nice shoe rack below the seat. This is very sturdy and will not tip even if loaded with items on the coat hooks. Even when loaded up, it still seems neat. I am very happy with this purchase.

Received promptly and unpacked with the help of a friend. All pieces were accounted for. We started putting together from bottom up. After realizing that we had two pieces reversed, we corrected it and it went smoothly. Had to force some holes to line up, but not unexpected. Added the nice cushion to the seat and it was ready to go. Now all my clothes which were on the floor are hanging conveniently for me to select the next time I dress. My bedroom is now 100% complete and I am most pleased with this fine "Clothestree/Bench". I think it's a good value for about****!

I have been looking for something to hang coats on at my home for the past year, since there is not a closet by the front door. Since I had a bench by the door to store shoes, I thought I could simply purchase a row of hooks to hang on the wall over the bench, but I was unable to find a row of hooks with the combination of style, color, and size that I wanted. So I decided that maybe I could just make my own row of hooks, but I don't have access to the right tools to do a professional job. I was also concerned about how I was going to mount the row of hooks on the wall to properly support the weight when filled with coats. Looking at the raw material cost of making my own row of hooks, I decided that for a little more money, and a lot less effort, I should look for something free standing, like a hall tree bench, or even a pole coat rack, so I visited a dozen different stores in my area, but none of them had anything like a hall tree bench. After searching the internet for a few days I decided that I liked the style of this item better than the others that I had seen, and the price was reasonable. Assembly was straight forward with easy to follow directions (especially if you grew up building LEGOs or have put together an inexpensive particleboard bookcase). I had seen other reviews where people had trouble with holes not lining up properly, or missing parts. Mine had all of the proper hardware, and a few extra bolts, but when I reached the final step of attaching the top shelf, I realized that it would not be possible because of how the holes were positioned. The instructions included a sheet from the manufacturer regarding requesting replacements for damaged/missing parts (within 90 days of purchase). I sent them an email describing the problem and providing the information requested. Within a few days they responded to my email and had a new piece at my door about a week later, which worked much better. It was a very easy and straightforward process. I've been using this item for a few weeks now. It feels very sturdy and it has been doing a great job of holding coats.

Solid, sturdy and with lots of room for hanging and storing clothes, boots, gloves and hats. Doesn't take up too much space and while cushion is pretty bland and not fancy, it was easily recovered to match entryway decor.

I love the look and price of this. It took me about 2 1/2 hours to assemble because the instructions were a little tricky regarding which side (how many holes) should be facing up during assembly which required me t dis-assemble once or twice before completion. All is quite sturdy except for the coat hooks. One came off within the first week of use and we will drill and make sturdier.

I searched in local stores and on-line for months for some furniture to fit in a small foyer area that would match well with other room decor. This hall-tree piece with wrought iron framework and the bonus of a bench solved my space problem perfectly. This hall tree works perfectly in our master bath as a station where we can sit to put on slippers or hang our robes. We put some spa touches on top (stack of rolled towels, a large candle) and it looks great. Because we have floor molding it doesn't sit flush to the wall. I may add a few little pads to the back just so it doesn't mar the wall. (That would only happen it we bumped it.)

Ordered this hall tree because a regular coat rack just want going to work. I really love the hall tree! It's really sturdy, room for several coats, and I leave my purse/gym bag/ and lap top bag on the seat. It's so convenient. The rack underneath is a great place to store things too. I kept my yoga may there and it fits perfect! I'd highly recommend this item

This is an average metal tree bench. It does its job... let's me sit when I'm pulling on/off my shoes... hangs my jackets, scarves, etc. However, it does not feel extremely sturdy.
