Earthwise New Generation 20-inch 36-volt Cordless Lawn Mower

I have used an electric mower for the past 20 years and have had several brands in that time. I started with corded mowers and got tires of dragging the cord around while mowing. I don't have a large yard and fortunately it is fairly flat, particularly with this mower. The mower is great, plenty of power, even cutting and the mulching feature works well. But the weight of this mower is heavy. It is all in the battery though. I was unable to even remove from the box until I took the battery off and then could lift it out. The charge on the battery is sufficient to do my yard it takes about 45 minutes for my yard so the charge it sufficient. I have always found the batteries to be the sore point with electric mowers as they have only lasted about 2 years with me, so I had to replace them every two years and they can get pricey. This being a 36 volt makes me worry as they are expensive to replace but the convience of electric and easy startup is what has sold me on electric mowers for the last 20 years so I will do it again. In researching mowers one thing I have read is correctly charging the battery. I used to just leave mine plugged in all of the time. So I am going to take special care of this battery and I hope I see longer than two years out of it this time. Performance wise, like I said the mower gives an even cut, power seems to be great from start of the job to completion in 45 minutes. Cuts nicely in thick grass and the mulching does well. I like the 20 inch cutting path and the wheels perform well on my lawn. The height adjustment works well and I like the battery power level indicator. However, I would hate to have an incline in my lawn using this mower as it is very heavy, but on my level ground it is not hard to push at all. I opted to not get a self-propelled model as the biggest complaint in reviews was that it was either too fast or too slow or stopped working soon after purchase, so I didn't think the feature would be worth the extra money.
