We've had the composter in use for about a year now. While the directions say to keep it out of direct sun, the shady spot we placed it does not seem to generate the desired amount of breakdown in the material. The composter works best with kitchen scraps. Leaves and grass don't break down as well. The bottom line is the product works, but does not speed up the composting process as much as I had hoped from the description.

The compost bin was easy to set up and is exactly as expected. It will take a while to make actual compost, so we'll have to wait and see how good the product is from a functional perspective.

Too regimented with three sections. You load up the top portion, and need to wait until the middle section decomposes enough to leave room before you can send the ingredients the first section down. The same goes for moving to the bottom portion. Mixing is important, but it can't be done through the little hole in the middle section. INSTEAD, buy three cheap plastic storage boxes with lids.
