  • Nice stand-gotta be an intuitive assembler

    The first one of these came damaged-we refused it and Overstock was great about sending out another. This one arrived pretty quickly-the box was banged up but the contents were fine. The directions were VERY minimal so we had to take it apart and start over a couple times-but we figured it out and it didn't take more than an hour. Sturdy...looks nice...a winner!

  • No tools required for assembly.

    This is a solid very heavy piece. No tools are required to assemble. This means that the top is not fastened down. If you try to lift it by the top, the top will come off. Everything is alligned and connected with dowels. Once assembled with the TV on it, the cabinet will not slide on carpeting.

Thank you for your question and I apologize for the delayed response. Asian hardwood, or rubberwood, has a dense grain that is easily controlled in the kiln drying process. Rubberwood has very little shrinkage making it one of the more stable construction materials available for furniture, toys and kitchen accessories.
