This is one solid bed! We originally bought one for one of our twin 2 year old daughters. I originally was trying hard to avoid the same exact bed for both girls. Thier older sister is also in the same room and has a similar bed, and I was going for three different but similar beds for the three different kids. We were going to buy another bed from another manufacturer for her twin. Looked at the quality of the other bed and quickly decided to buy a second bed that matched. The quality is absolutely amazing. This bed is SOLID. I have no doubt that it will hold up to the YEARS of rough housing that three girls will give it, and still be available to take to that first apartment as a young adult.

First off, i dont want to scare you away. This is a very nice bed, its all metal, thick metal. It'll hold up to abuse. Its not cheaply made pot metal. Its also beautiful. Its certainly worth the price. Now the problems. Shipping: It ships in three separate boxes. The largest one, the headboard, is really the only problem one. It really wasnt designed to be shipped via a service like UPS. It has almost no packing material in it. When it arrived the box was in horrible shape. in fact, the UPS guy said to me "this is not one of my proudest moments in delivery". It didnt appear to be damaged, so no harm, no foul. When i took everything out of the box, all the assembly hardware, 2 finials, and the instructions were missing. I contacted overstock, and they were very helpful, sent everything out the next day, took 3 days to arrive. I was a little concerned at that point, because without any documentation, i had no idea if thats all i was missing, i was just guessing based off the pictures of the bed. [i actually opened on request for the hardware, then when looking noticed the finials were missing and made another request 15 minutes late] The hardware arrived, and was mildly incorrect. i was given all smaller lock washers when some 5/16th were required. Not the end of the world as a quick trip to the hardware store and 98 cents later i was ready to assemble. Most of the bed went together extremely easily. I'd say all together it took maybe an hour. However 45 minutes of that was spent just trying to fit the one side of the headboard to the leg. It was clearly bent in transport, and was quite difficult to do. I think many people without a selection of tools or great strength would have given up, called overstock, and had another sent. It really was quit difficult. i was more worried i'd snap one of the welds trying to bend it back into shape. Once that was addresses, it went together without issue. the instructions also noted that with the addition of a bracket (which was i guess supposed to be included in the hardware, but was not) you could attach regular bed rails to the bed. Im not sure if this was optional, or just left out of mine with the rest of the missing chunks. it doenst really matter, there's no need for it. Please note, that this does require a box spring, or base. My daughter loves the bed though. like i said its solid, it doesnt move when she flops on it. Certainly a good buy.

Bed looks nice, easy to assemble if you read and follow the instructions. It is a little oversize, full mattress fits very loose, but otherwise good value.

I love the bed, it took me exactly two hours to get it essemble. Its a birthday gift for my teenage daughter. She is very happy and we had fun getting it together. I hesitated to puchase a bed online but I fell in love with the pic. I felt that for the price, it was worth taking a chance. When it arrived, Less than a week), with free delivery, I was shocked to see how gorgeous it really was. It was an easy assembly too. I highly recommend this bed to anyone considering it. We've had this bed now for over a month and are still thrilled about it! It's very sturdy and the from the reviews and description I felt very comfortable with what to expect in this purchase. One thing that was a bit of a surprise to us is that this bed frame clearly requires you to have a box spring along with your mattress! We hadn't needed a box spring for our mattress before so halfway into assembling we realized we wouldn't be able to sleep on the bed that night without first going out to buy a new slat support. This is likely not going to be an issue for most people, but for those without a box spring plan for that extra step/purchase! The description gave no indication of how much space there is between the floor and the frame. Under-bed storage is a big deal for us and I wanted to be able to anticipate if I'd need new boxes for under-bed storage. For the record, the clearance under the sides is a bit more than 7.5 inches and the clearance at the foot of the bed is a bit more than 8.5 inches. This turned out to be ample for our needs.

The quality of this bed was much better than I had expected. Assembly was not difficult. The only concern I had is when the packages arrived, the boxes were very damaged. The driver gave me a waiver in case the merchandise was dammaged or missing. Much to my supprise all of the pieces were there and there was no damage. This was a grest purchase!

Description didn't include the posts being metal (wooden finials). All beautifully designed and put together. I get compliments from any who peek in to see my new bed. It is very unique from the solid wood looks. I love it and I know I made a good decision on both style and cost.

This bed is beautiful! It is easy to assemble. Also it is very sturdy. In one of the pictures on the website it looked much lighter than "cherry" finish. I was a little hesitant because I wanted the true cherry look. I ordered it anyway and hoped for the best. I was so happy when I opened this nicely packaged product and saw CHERRY!! So that picture in the site can be misleading. Also note that there is no wood on this bed. It is all metal. I definitely love this bed. It is great in our guest room..although my husband and I tried it out before putting our family on it. It's a great bed at a great price!

Not only was the bed perfect but it came with a bent part and Overstock's customer service had a replacement part shipped to me immediately. The communication was excellent and the bed is a high quality piece of furniture.

Very very happy with the purchase . Our daughter was moving and wanted a new bed in her place . It matched well with other furnture we bought at a local fine furniture store . Would recommend anyone to get furniture from the Ethan Home collection at Overstock. Its quality at a bargain price and was recieved 3 days earlier than expected .

Purchased this bed for mother in law's guest bedroom. She resides in a rustic mountain cabin and the bed fit in with the decor and surroundings of the home. While it fit in a rustic setting, could see it could fit in a contemporary setting with the right bedding. Pleased 100% with the color, quality, look, and the cost for an exceptional poster bed was way below what I would have found in a furniture store.
