NOT A PLATFORM BED
This is described as a platform bed, and it says "The wood slats eliminate the need for a box spring". This is completely wrong. It has 3 small slats that will not support a mattress no matter how you arrange them. Because of this description I ordered my sleep number mattress-only, threw out my old ragged IKEA bed this morning and then assembled the new one as soon as it arrived. The mattress falls through the slats no matter how I arrange it, leaving me without a bed until I can find a way around it. Completely misleading, and now its going to waste a lot of my time and money to fix. This is my first time ever buying a bed so I did a lot of research. Infuriating when the products aren't as described. Not good for a first time Overstock customer.

Not a platform bed!
As stated in an earlier comment, the bed comes with three slats that are only 2" wide, hardly enough to support a mattress without a box spring. Be prepared to cut your own in order to make it work with a mattress alone. Once you have built the deck, the mattress will not extend high enough to reach the bottom of the headboard so there will be a gap where your pillows will fall through during your rest. I am going to purchase a box spring so all is looks proportional and functions as it should. Be very careful assembling it as the faux leather is very delicate and marks and tears easy. All said and done, it's a nice looking, masculine bed if you are up for modifying the deck or have a complete mattress set.

Horrible quality... broke after a few months
As others have said, this bed comes with almost NO SUPPORT for the mattress. 3 small wooden slats that cannot properly support a mattress. So be prepared to add more wooden slats to it. Even after doing that, there is a huge gap under the headboard and pillows fall under as you sleep. The mattress rests directly on the slats so there is no support. Bed broke after 3 months... I am now shopping for a new bed... don't waste your money, you're better off getting a $100 Ikea bed frame.

Great bed. A bit of a hassle getting it togeather. Does need a boxspring, still very happy with it.

Adlington bed
The bed is a little more flimsy than I was expecting. We had to buy extra Slats, but we expected that having read the reviews. Make sure you buy a thick mattress as there is a big gap between the bottom of the bed and the headboard. The bed wasn't too hard to put together. It looks good in our spare room. Delivery was within stated dates.

Incredibly Disappointed
The bed's supporting structure fell apart as soon as the mattress was placed on it. The wood is very poor quality and the instructions were pictures only which was very frustrating. My boyfriend spent an extra $100 in lumber to create a supporting platform and needed 6 2x4's to ensure stability. We were incredibly disappointed.
