This is a good mattress if you are looking for a really, really, firm mattress. We did not like the overly soft feel of memory foam mattresses, but found this one to be too firm even for us. We ordered two different types of foam mattresses for our guest bedroom, then slept on them for a short time before ordering a king-size mattress for our room. We went with the other type, though my husband said this one was easier to get in and out of, since the edges didn't squash down when he sat on it.

We got the mattress for our 2 year old's first "big boy bed". It is very comfortable (I lay with him going to sleep every night) and supportive yet soft. Good price compared to other latex mattresses on the market. Made in the USA.

This mattress is durable, comfortable, doesn't holdin a lot of heat, and is perfect for a kiddo who may have allergies. Latex mattresses naturally repel bedbugs and other allergens, so it was a no-brainer when getting it for my toddler, who has some significant allergies himself. the price can't be beat either!

Mattress has been in the house 1 hour....came UPS...nicely package ...was entertaining to release it from it's vacumn packaging and watch it expand...It is now at 7 inches and expect it to reach the 8 soon. Ends and edges are already eight...There is NO and I repeat NO off odor which is a major complaint on many of these products...I cheated and laid down on it...It's amazing...really very comfortable..firm but not hard! Much easy to get up from than a regular inner spring mattress...Wonderful product...May have to get a second one!

My 1st one was queen one, and we decide to get another one for my kid. A bit firm as described, but my family really like it. Very supportive, and the new product smell had gone in a week. Overall, I am satisfied with this one again.

I ordered two of these mattresses and I think they are wonderful and great "bang for the buck", but one was softer than the other, which worked out for us because my husband really liked the very firm one. These are non-returnable so it would not have been very good if we had not been satisfied. All in all I would buy these again.

Bought this for our toddler, but my wife and I have spent some time sleeping on it. We are thinking about getting a larger one for our own bed!

I bought 2 of these beds, one for each of my boys (11 and 6). It fits great in their bunk beds, and they love it. If you like mushy mattresses you may want a topper, but my guys love the firmness. The mattress does not off gas and has a nice bamboo cover that is washable. I would wash on gentle because there is batting underneath. We had to clean one of the mattresses due to a midnight illness. I was worried about the mattress smelling and washing the cover, because of the batting, but I washed it on the handwash cycle and dried it on med heat for 35 min and it came out like new. The latex foam I wiped down with a pet cleaner, then let dry, and there was no smell or staining. I will make sure we have the mattress pad on next time because it would be so much easier to take care of. But it is good to know that it can be cleaned so much easier than a conventional mattress.

I bought a latex mattress on the recommendation of my daughter in law. She was right! It is very comfortable. I was worried about being too hot on another "foam" mattress, as I have been before. This is not a problem with this latex mattress. It is very firm, which is fine for me. I am delighted with it, and with the price. No off-gassing noted either. Excellent mattress, excellent price. My daughter has been struggling with allergy induced asthma for some time now, and getting this mattress was a brilliant decision. In addition to the other measures we have taken to get her dust mite allergies under control, since the first night on this mattress, her congestion in the morning is literally GONE. No more sniffles when she wakes up, or coughing, puffy and watery eyes - this mattress is the best money we have spent on her. We shopped around all over the internet, as well as all our local furniture stores and we could not find another twin mattress even close to this price. I initially cringed at spending so much on a twin matress, but it is more than worth the money for the relief she has gotten! I would recommend also getting a latex pillow and allergy cover as well if you're buying this for that purpose. Overall a great experience and product from overstock.com!

Yes, this mattress is incredibly firm. Before we put on the mattress pad, I thought it may be too firm. But I got a nice cushy mattress pad, and my first night on the mattress was heaven. It has a BASIC synthetic cover (no padding to it whatsoever), but it is zippered so that it can come off if necessary. There weren't any of the typical latex or foam fumes when we opened it, which surprised me. I was totally prepared for a long off-gassing period, because those fumes normally give me bad headaches. Nothing of the sort! The only thing that I'd improve in this mattress is a higher natural latex content, but that would send the price through the roof. As it is, this mattress is a great value for a very firm latex mattress.

This mattress is too firm to use by itself--if I knew it was so firm that I'd have to get an additional topper, I would have bought another mattress. I prefer firm mattresses, but this is unacceptable.

I bought this mattress for my 3 year old daughter. I originally was very pleased. The appearance, workmanship, etc seems great. However, this is a very firm mattress. I keep my daughter company while we read stories and she falls asleep. It is uncomfortable for me and she even complains about the mattress being too hard. I am looking into buying a topper and really can't imagine this mattress being comfortable without one. By the way, I normally sleep on a firm mattress.

I'm pleasantly surprised about the mattress. It's thicker than I thought. Best of all my 2 year old can't bounce on it since there's no inner springs. I hope it holds up as well as it looks now. It doesn't loose it's shape for heavier people and my 2 year old loves it. It's comfortable and we did put a nice mattress cover on it. Highly recommended.

Excellent buy. Allergy free--dust mites and bed bugs cannot live in latex! Latex lasts decades. Firm support. Fully opened in 10 minutes. Using it for a guest bed instead of a air mattress. Fits under the frame of our king size bed snugly for storage. If it is a little to firm for some, a simple topper of 2 inch memory foam would make it perfect, but it is very comfortable without.

I ORDERED THIS MATTRESS FOR MY DAUGHTER FOR A GIFT. SHE LOVES IT. THERE IS NO SPRINGS (COILS) IN THE MATTRESS SO IT WILL NOT COLLAPSE LATER ON. THE PRODUCT IS VERY WELL CONSTRUCTED AND COMFORTABLE. THE FIRST FEW DAYS WERE A BIT HARD ON HER BACK, BUT IT FELT BETTER AFTER SHE GOT USED TO IT. I ALSO GOT ONE OF THE HIGH LOAF 3" MATTRESS TOPPER FOR HER. THAT MADE THE MATTRESS SOFTER AND VERY COMFORTABLE.
