I've had memory foam for years, and the side effect is that because it needs body heat to mold properly, you sometimes get overheated in the middle of the night.
Not so with natural latex....and it's extremely comfortable.
However, I keep seeing reviews saying "no chemical odor." This is very true...however, I've had mine for a month now, and the "toasted rubber" smell is finally becoming unoffensive. So be aware that there is a strong odor for a while, it's just not chemical. (I have latex pillows that don't have this problem.)

This item arrived in a beaten up box that was bursting at the seams. It was not well packed for shipping. I live in an apartment building; my doorman showed the box to me and said "it weighed a ton."
Since the box was in such bad condition and so heavy, I didn't even open it. I couldn't imagine putting an item that big heavy on my bed. And I wasn't interested in seeing what awaited me inside that beaten up box.
I sent it right back.

Latex Mattress topper arrived in great condition. We swapped out our memory foam topper. Heavy - but no more so than memory foam. Follow instructions to avoid tears. No fumes or odor. Cooler, softer and springier than memory foam. Much easier on our aging hips.

In the search for healthy bedding, we were met with high prices and difficulty in finding non-toxic materials. We have purchased a total of 5 of these toppers. One is on our king bed as a topper, two are folded in half and used as our kid's twin size beds, the other two are folded and used as the bottom cushion of our build-in couch. We love them. Very comfortable, good quiality, natural rubber. I read in an earlier review that they rip easily....we didn't have this problem. If you got a good handful and really yanked, i am sure that you could tear it, as it is only two inches. Definitely reccomend this producdt.
