I recently bought the Dyson25 Animal vacuum and I love it. The suction is great, the machine is easy to maneuver and it's lightweight compared to my old upright.There are only two problems which I hope Dyson will improve upon in their next models.The attachment hose seems quite short and doesn't stretch easily for cleaning, making the wand cleaner jobs quite cumbersome and difficult. Even though the wand attachment is listed as being 16 feet long, it seems only 3 feet because of the lack of stretch. Also, the brush attachment is very flimsy and small when using it for baseboards, blinds, etc..All in all, I love the upright machine, I just don't like the wand or attachments very much.
We had an Oreck that we really licked, but my wife wanted the "ball". I had just finished with the Oreck the used our new Dyson I was truly amazed at how much junk the Oreck left behind. As far as getting up dog hair one pass is all it takes for our Australian Shepherd hair to get sucked up. As my 8 year old bot says 2 thumbs up!
This item arrived one day after I received the notice it had been shipped. It really did only require two "clicks" to assemble. And has been the most amazing vacumn cleaner I have ever personally used. I am simply thrilled and would recommend spending the extra couple of hundred to purchase this. I have several animals (5) and children (6). A definate must.
I wish I had purchased this vacuum cleaner way back - I've been through numerous vacuums over the past few years but none has performed as well as my new Dyson. It's easy to use, much quieter than my previous vacuums, and really pulls everything out of the carpeting. The extension wand is easy to attach and the furniture attachment is perfect for my furniture cushions. I highly recommend this to anyone.
Bought this thinking it was going to be amazing and I was sooooooooo disappointed. I have 2 small cats. It took at least 5 vacuum strokes to pick up the hair. I took it to an authorized service shop and the technician just shook his head and said, "Yup, that's the dyson...its all about marketing." So I have returned the item. The pro is the easy maneuvering but the con is that there is not enough suction and that's really why I need a vacuum, right!
