It was hard for me to believe the reviews that I had read about this machine, but they are true. It picks up so much more dirt out of my carpets than my other vacuum, I was stunned. I purchased this Dyson refurbished and it came in perfect condition with all of the bells and whistles. It is one terrific machine, great for my asthma and allergies and I highly recommend it.Overstock is wonderful!

We got our refurbished sweeper and it looks brand new. You can't tell at all. I only give it 3 stars for appearance because frankly the industrial design and colors are a bit too much. I can't believe the dirt this thing pulls up. Swept my entire house (2,000sqf) and emptied it 7 times in 1 week. We haven't used carpet powder in 4-5 years but you could clearly see a layer of white powder in the tank that it sucked up. We thought our other sweeper was good but it was pathetic compared to this.

I just got my refurbed Dyson yesterday, and after its first day on the job, I give it 5 stars. My berber carpets actually have texture again! I truly believe I have never owned a vacuum that actually works. I have 2 cats (one short-haired and one long) and it picked up the kitty tumbleweeds on both the carpet and the bamboo floors perfectly. It was easy to put together and operate, and emptying the canister was a breeze. The only way I can even tell that this was refurbished model is: it came in a generic box and there is a small scratch(hardly noticeable) on the metal wand. I am very pleased with my purchase.

So far, I am very happy with this product. I have only used it three times, but it works very well, and I particularly like that is does not need bags. It also helping with my allergies and with trapping my dog's fur and dust.

After receiving the Dyson, I vacuumed the entire house including the basement (about 3,000 square feet w/ lots of carpet) and I had to dump the bagless canister eight times because it picked up so much dirt and crud out the carpet (yes, we vacuumed regularly). The carpet (and the air) is much cleaner now and I am thankful for that because my son has asthma. Other than a few scratches on the handle, this refurbished unit looks new. The only thing keeping it from five stars it that it is heavy to lift, but it does push very easy. I'll never own another Hoover, that's for sure.

This unit vacuums up an unbelievable amount of stuff! The only issue I had was figuring out how the 3 attachements fit on the unit.

This was a great purchase. The vacuum was delivered quickly and is just as expected. Looked like brand new and had a number of attachments. The vacuum works like a charm. My carpets look like they were just professionally cleaned every time I use it. Couldn't be happier with this purchase.

I normally don't ever take the time to write a review but I had to with this item. I wasn't sure if I sould purchase this vacuum or not and decided to go for it. I purchased it and it arrived in 3 days and I used it right away. I vacuumed the whole house and was amazed at how clean the carpets were and what it picked up. I would tell everyone to buy this vacuum especially if you have pets, which we do. Enjoy!!

I have been wanting to replace my old vacuum with a bagless one. I'm glad I looked on Overstock and found this one. Even though it was "refurbished" I can't find anything wrong... I've used it several times and still am amazed at how much it gets out of my carpets and the furniture attachments are easy to use.... I never buy anything until I look on Overstock to compare value and items... I tell everyone to "Check out Overstock" you'll be amazed...

Love the bagless design and the powerful suction. It does pick up a lot of dirt/fiber. Should have gotten one much earlier!

I replaced my 15 year old Kirby with this vacuum. While it isnt any smaller it is lighter and waaay easier to move around. I was really excited about the 17' expandable wand because we have a chalet style house and very high ceilings. Just so you know, the hose is the part that expands.....not the solid wand so i was just a little disappointed in that. Howver it does reach much farther than my current vacuum and goes all the way up the stairs without having to lug the vacuum with me....love that !We have all wood floors so I had to turn the beater bar off, which seemed to lessen the suction a bit ...not sure just yet but it still picks up tons of dirt and hair (we have 3 big dogs and a cat!) Very easy to clean. I just bought the Multi angle Brush tool and used it last night to clean the window sills of our top row of windows which are about 10' high. It worked perfectly !!!I will also have to purchase the flatter floor too as the vacuum doesnt get under my furniture.As far as being refurbished, i dont know ,... if there is anything wrong with it I can't tell. It looked new, all parts work, and i'm going to keep it. Great price compared to stores prices and Dyson online price!Over all, so far i'm very happy with it and actually find myself vacuuming more often than i used to because it moves around so easily!The only down side, is that in order to use the wand/hose, you have to uncoil all of the electrical cord...but i can live with that. Only gave it 3 stars for appearance because, lets face it, its not beautiful but who cares !!PS: i absolutely love not having to deal with a replaceable bag, It is a snap to empty the bin.Thank you Overstock!

Received the vacuum as a gift. Had a Hoover Wind Tunnel that I "thought" worked well. What a shock to see the amount of dirt this machine picked up!! Only problem is I do not know what to do with some of the attachments and the manual is not clear at all.

Wow....what an excellent product. I love how much comes out of my carpets....I highly recommend this to any one ...that needs the best vaccum.

I have 2 cats and also a lot of carpeting so needed a good vaccuum. I have heard good things about dysons from a family member who has one and read the reviews and they looked good. I have vaccuumed my apartment 3 times so far with it and emptied it after each use because it fills up each time. That is how much it gets up!! It is pretty gross to think of what it is picking up after i had cleaned with the old vac and also steam cleaned twice since i just moved in. Also has tons of attachments, can clean in the radiator and pretty much anywhere else you could possibly need to get I think! Was a bit nervous about getting a refurbished but no problems so far, looks just like new!

This Dyson definitely lives up to its name! I bought the same product, new, from a retail outlet for my office. Paid $200 more than I did from Overstock.com. The refurbished product I got from Overstock for my home looks just as good and performs just as well. Think your carpets are clean after you've used your old vaccuum? Try a Dyson and you'll be shocked at how much more dirt is removed! I received all attachments as promised. The vaccuum was ready to use out of the box.

It sucks up amazingly. Too many attachements and I have no idea what they are for. The manual wasn't helpful. The nose of the vacuum is also pretty big and cannot get under furniture very well.

This vacuum is excellent. I was shocked by the amount of dirt and hair it picked up in just one use! The suction is amazing. I agree that this vacuum in heavy but i dont mind it. I will never go back to buying any other vacuum again. Its well worth the investment considering i end up having to buy a new vacuum every year because it looses suction and spits dust everywhere. I would highly recommend this product.

the vacuum has great suction! i love looking to see how much dirt & dust this vacuum picks up after i vacuum each room. i hear dysons breakdown after a while, but so far so good!

Very powerful yet easy to use, a bit bulky, It is hard to imagine going back to a traditional vacuum again after seeing all the dirt that other vacuums leave behind.

Can't speak to durability just yet and I just rec'd and used for the 1st time... LOVE IT! works great on hardwood and carpet (I have both)... This thing really kicks it... easy to use, easy to dump - yes ok, you may have to get your hand in (only just a little) to help the little dust buddies out, but it works great!!! A touch more expensive than other brands, you get what you pay for...
