After less tha 3 months use in a household with 6 cats and one long-haired adult, the brush mechansim got clogged. Cleaning it was a major hassle. I wound up buying a cheaper vacuum that wasn't as "fussy."

Like brand new. Would have never known it was refurbished. Saved a ton of money getting a refurbished one. Great suction. Picks up soooo much dirt. No problems so far and it's been a couple years actually since I got it.

I don't know why anyone would buy a new vacuum! This was a great deal, and I basically got a new vacuum for half of the price. I have now had it over a year, and it is still working perfectly.

I love it, it is great on stairs, hard wood floors, high ceilings, and anything else you can imagine! Best home appliance purchase in a long time!!!

I bought this vacuum from Overstock because the price couldn't be beat. I love that this vacuum can be run over carpet or hard flooring without causing damage. It is easy to empty and it has a lifetime filter with easy directions for maintenance. I have two cats and deal with a lot of cat hair. This vacuum does a better job than the pet hair eraser I bought to years ago, and it's a lot easier to use around the house.

I've wanted a Dyson for years but couldn't bring myself to spend the $500 ... but I found the refurbished deals and LOVE it!!! I vacuumed with my old vacuum first and then with the Dyson and still got 2 canisters full of dirt; yuck! Wish I'd gotten this earlier!

When I first received this vacuum I was amazed at how it worked; however after using it since Nov. my hardwood floors are very marked up from the wheels and when we use it on our new carpet downstairs it is almost impossible to push because we cannot adjust for a plusher carpet. This vacuum was advertised for all floors; it only works well on my wool rugs. I am so disappointed and am wondering how I will get these marks off of my floor??? I wish I had never purchased this.

I had needed to replace my old vacuum for quite some time, but just kept making do. After the first time of asking my husband to take the old one apart so I could finish cleaning out the hose, he said never again! At that point I figured I better start shopping for a new one. I knew I liked the idea of a Dyson, but typically not their price tag, I started doing lots of research. Everything I read and everyone I talked to (I have several friends who have Dysons) said that Dyson is in a league of it's own and definitely worth the money. Once I started shopping for Dyson specifically I found this one. I have never had a problem buying refurbished and I could have cared less what color it was, so when I found this one I knew it was exactly what I'd been looking for!! My only regret is that I waited as long as I did. I should have bought this years ago!! I've had my vacuum for almost a year and I LOVE IT!!! I have carpet, hardwood, and tile, and this vacuum works so well on all three. The hose is in the handle on this vacuum which was new for me, but I love it. You don't have to worry about the hose coming out of it's place when you don't want it to, and it's so much easier to use! It's so nice to be able to have the handle when trying to reach up high and not have to fight with just a hose! I will probably never own anything other than a Dyson now! Don't let the word "refurbished" scare you, mine looks and runs like new!! If it didn't tell you, you'd never know that it wasn't brand new! I HIGHLY recommend this vacuum!!!

The Dyson is noticeably more powerful than a regular vacuum. The refurbished model is indistinguishable from new. A great value.

I was very hesitant about ordering a vacuum online for fear it would be delivered and have something wrong. I need not have worried. It came out of the box and was easy to assemble. Plugged it in and it worked right away. I am so happy with my purchase. Also I feared buying the Dyson Refurbished thinking it would be beat up and show some wear and tear. Wrong again. It looks brand-new and runs like a brand-new vacuum. I love it. It works great on my hardwood floors and I love all the dirt it keeps pulling out of my carpet.....It has great suction!

Great machine, gets better the more I use it. I had a purple DC-10 since 2004 and needed a new start. It was beat-up (from me bumping it into walls), the plastic attachments had become brittle and broken off, motor would get really hot, really fast. Basically, I used it everyday and I got my money out of it. The attachments that this basic "White" model doesn't include are all the ones I still have in good shape, so I wasn't too disappointed that no floor tools, extensions, Zorb... weren't in the box. I just wanted to make a note that this should be worded more prominently. If I hadn't already had an Animal Dyson, I would have been really upset. Also, I did notice that when walking the vacuum backwards (the best way to pick up dirt on carpet) it tended to pull up off the carpet, therefore the suction wasn't gripping the carpet fibers. I tested it against my older model and I wasn't crazy. It wasn't doing a good job on the "backstroke". however, I noticed with use it does indeed "break-in". My carpet now has the marks that have come to define a Dyson vacuum. Thanks, great product. As advertised. Shipped really fast.

Ordered the Dyson DC14 Refurb last week. Arrived timely in only 5 days. Looks Brand New. We put it together and tried it out. WOW. First Dyson we have owned. Works great. We couldn't believe how much "stuff" was picked up. Good purchase for the price.

I cannot get over how great this vacuum is!! We have pets & my husband has bad allergies! This works so well! I keep my house pretty clean and could not believe the hair it picked up! It was GROSS! Such a big improvement! Soooo happy with this buy!

I was hesitant to purchase a refurbished item, but the price was right and Ive always wanted a Dyson. I was so excited to receive my refurbished Dyson when it came today. I opened the box, put it together and turned it on. When I started pushing it back and forth it made this HORRIBLE sound. It scared my poor children. I turned it off and turned it upside down, turned it on again and the brush wasnt spinning. Im pretty sure the brush it supposed to spin on a vacuum. I am so disappointed. Mostly because I had high hopes and I really need a vacuum. Thankfully, Overstock was SO great at helping me out. They sent me a return label and are shipping another one. Hopefully that one will work...

I love this thing!! its a bit confusing with the attachments but you cant beat the suction power. My neighbor has a Dyson (she paid double the price) and i swear mine is better. Its the older model and, in my opinion. more powerful. a MUST HAVE!!

I am glad I followed the reviews. I could not tell the difference between a new vacuum and this refurbished one. It looked as good as new. I was tempted to buy the Hoover Upright so highly rated by Consumer Reports but the negative reviews changed my mind. We had an older Dyson but did not want to spend the money to replace it. Buying this refurbished Dyson DC14 was an excellent alternatve. Also, we received our vacuum within days. Trust me you will not be disappointed.

Awesome vac. I always buy factory refurbished and I think everyone should. The only way I could have gotten a similar price on this vac was if I had of driven an hour to pick up a used ***** find. It works as promised, and I too was shocked at the barrel full of dust that it picked up initially. blechk. :o) This one went fast (therefore the big O will probably raise the price if they get it again)- so just FYI ***** currently has a blue version of this (brand new) for just a little more buckage.
