So far so good. I've had this vac for a few weeks now & it's incredibly strong. It doesn't miss a thing. It actually leaves the floors looking new. Even does a great job on hard flooring surfaces like tile. I have no complaints. The dirt storage container is even cool. You disconnect it hold it over the trash can & push a button & th dirt drops out. My old vac I had to turn it upside down, bang it, sometimes reach in & pull dirt out.... Plus this came with a bunch of great attachments. If you have pets but it, it's worth the investment.

We bought this vacum about 4 months ago. I don't know how I ever lived without it. Does the best job on carpets and just as great on all hard floors. It is light weight and easy to handle. Picks up those little animal hairs quite well. I so appreciate how easy it is to empty. The wand for the attatchments can be turned around for a longer reach. I say buy it and enjoy the job of vacuming.

So far, I love it! I've had the dyson for about 3 weeks now and it is really effective at picking up dirt and dog hair. I am very pleased with this product. I can not tell that this a refurbished item. Well worth the money!

Its a great powerful vacuum and does its jobs. I've got 4 dogs but if your going to constantly vacuum 2 a day everyday and empty the canister. Its become a pain. Don't get me wrong I love it but emptying it all the time become's old to me. So I'm going back to bagged vacuum. But I'm still keeping this vacuum.

Love this vac- my parents have an older model & I have always loved. I could never afford my own but with overstock it became possible. I bought a refurbished model & it is as if nothing was ever used or even opened. I am loving vacuuming right now. Really- it doesn't get any better than a Dyson.

Don't let "refurbished" scare you. Purchased this for my daughter to use in her large home, wood floors, carpeting on stairs, area rugs in living room and TV room. Home is shared with another animal loving roommate. She said only a dyson please...she's right! The amount of Jack Russell and Dark Golden retriever fur recovered from the carpets, wood floors and stairs was amazing! We had no idea it was even THAT bad before starting the task. It makes a noise telling you when to empty the container. It was very easy to dump out the dirt and fur and then continue. My daughter and her roommate were so delighted they zoomed through the whole house with ease and thoroughness!!!!! I only witnessed the enthusiasm!!! No problem with the directions for the vacuum. Only one of the attachments baffled us, but after reading instructions further, it was clear.Easy to use, cleans extremely well, and it IS a vacuum worth the money! As for durability, time will tell...We've had it only 2 months but believe me it gets serious use, picking up the silt (daily walks & swim in Rock Creek Park) and fur...dirty is not a dirty word! I have had many many vacuums in my life, this is an easy strong one meant for use!

I haven't had the Dyson for a long time, but I can attest that so far it's easily the best vacuum I've owned. If the durability is as good as the design, it's a great bargain. This is a three dog household and it grabbed every hair out of the carpets, rugs and wooden floors. I was concerned in terms of it being refurbished but it works great, looks new, and has a six month warranty. I have no problem recommending the Dyson and the refurbished can be had at half the price of the new.

After having gone a few years without a Dyson, I was thrilled to find one here on Overstock.com at a phenomenal price. Although the item was listed as "refurbished," I was unable to find any evidence of repair or prior ownership. All the parts, packaging, inserts, stickers, and tags were just as one would find on a "new" Dyson purchase. Like most of the prior reviewers, I was delighted (and a bit shocked!) at how much this vacuum picks up, even after just having vacuumed with my Kirby heavy-duty vacuum. My carpets have never looked better.

The vacuum looked brand new out of the box. I had previously borrowed a Dyson from a friend and was impressed with how well it cleaned my carpets. The DC14 Animal really picks up the dog hair! The additional accessories for going under furniture is a definite bonus. I understand that these could be an additional purchase item. Mine were included with this vacuum purchase Great purchase and would buy another without hesitation.

I was shocked the first day I used my Dyson: I ran it lightly around the middle of my bedroom to get a feel for it, and before I was done, the canister was full of my lovely Tibetan Spaniel hair, which had been barely visible on the Chinese rug! A few moments later (after emptying the canister twice), the rug was clean! This is by far the best vacuum I have ever used! All the attachments work well, and although I had to refer to the manual two or three times once I became familiar with all the features, I find it a dream to operate! Highly recommended for people with pets and/or allergies! It picks up tiny particles which looks like very fine dust powder, which my old vacuum never even knew existed! Five stars!

I would say this product, although refurbished was a good deal (there were not any signs of the refurbishment part). we have a lot of dog hair that it fabulously picks up. The value, well all dyson's are expensive, so it's an overall product price, but the value of the refurbished is far better.

I bought this vacuum for my son who has a dog that constantly sheds. I have the Dyson D25 Animal Vacuum [Rollerball} and I love it! This particular model is the stand ard upright vacuum but does the job in removing dog hair and has great suction power. It is not quite as lightweight as my rollerball model but he seems very happy with the performance of this vacuum. We would recommend it!

We have only had the dyson animal for a few weeks, but love it.When we received the vacuum in the mail a part was bent and it wouldn't work. I called overstock to let them know and they were VERY accommodating and sent the part out right away. Now, the vacuum works great and we are very happy with it.

I have wanted a Dyson for years, but they are so expensive. After purchasing new carpet for our whole house, we felt that this would keep the appearance of the carpet looking new. After researching, Overstock had a great price and the only difference was it came in a plain box. They even threw in many extra attachments and two sets of cleaner. The vacuum works amazingly and am very happy with the reduced price.
