So far so good. I've had this vac for a few weeks now & it's incredibly strong. It doesn't miss a thing. It actually leaves the floors looking new. Even does a great job on hard flooring surfaces like tile. I have no complaints. The dirt storage container is even cool. You disconnect it hold it over the trash can & push a button & th dirt drops out. My old vac I had to turn it upside down, bang it, sometimes reach in & pull dirt out.... Plus this came with a bunch of great attachments. If you have pets but it, it's worth the investment.

We bought this vacum about 4 months ago. I don't know how I ever lived without it. Does the best job on carpets and just as great on all hard floors. It is light weight and easy to handle. Picks up those little animal hairs quite well. I so appreciate how easy it is to empty. The wand for the attatchments can be turned around for a longer reach. I say buy it and enjoy the job of vacuming.

I bought this vacuum for my son who has a dog that constantly sheds. I have the Dyson D25 Animal Vacuum [Rollerball} and I love it! This particular model is the stand ard upright vacuum but does the job in removing dog hair and has great suction power. It is not quite as lightweight as my rollerball model but he seems very happy with the performance of this vacuum. We would recommend it!

We have only had the dyson animal for a few weeks, but love it.When we received the vacuum in the mail a part was bent and it wouldn't work. I called overstock to let them know and they were VERY accommodating and sent the part out right away. Now, the vacuum works great and we are very happy with it.

I have wanted a Dyson for years, but they are so expensive. After purchasing new carpet for our whole house, we felt that this would keep the appearance of the carpet looking new. After researching, Overstock had a great price and the only difference was it came in a plain box. They even threw in many extra attachments and two sets of cleaner. The vacuum works amazingly and am very happy with the reduced price.

I find this vacuum hard to use. It is heavy to push and pull. The hose is VERY difficult to use!! It keeps a lot of tension and pulls the vacuum along behind it. I do like the long cord and it does pick up dirt well.

After pouring over hundreds of reviews for different vacuums, I decided to order the Dyson Animal and let me tell you.....I am extremely impressed.....ok, I've become obsessed with this machine! I am not someone who 'loves' to vacuum, but I have become totally obsessed with vacuuming!!!! Maybe because my previous machines didn't do much. This machine is absolutely amazing! I can't believe how much dust and cat hair it pulled up in such a small area the first time I used it! It's actually disgusting how much my old Dirt Devil was NOT getting! And, though this was sold as a 'refurbished' machine, I believe it is brand new......maybe someone bought it and returned it because there is absolutely no evidence that it was ever used! Also came with 6 different attachments, 3 of which are on-board. I'm still figuring out how to use the rest of them! Also came with spot cleaner and another new obsession.....Zorb! This absorbent powder (which smells fantastic), has virtually completely removed any stains I had on my much hated berber carpet!Vacuuming has never been so exciting......I know that sounds corny......but seriously, from someone who found vacuuming a really tedious chore.....I am telling you just buy it! I've become a vacuuming maniac....that is saying alot.....I am very hard to please! :) I keep looking for things to vacuum because it's actually alot of fun, seeing how much stuff this thing picks up! And it's purple!! My favorite color!

I should have ordered this sooner!! I was a little worried about it being refurbished, but it came brand new! I had vacuumed right before it came and couldn't believe what the Dyson picked up right after!!! Overstock shipped it fast and I would definitely order from them again! Living with an english bulldog I will never live without a Dyson again :)!!!!!!!!!!!

This Dyson is worth its weight in gold! We have three cats and a dog, and it is the only vacuum I have ever owned that can handle all that fur!! I absolutely love this vacuum - it is definitely worth the money. We bought ours about six months ago, and it is still working great!

Even though this was refurbished, it seemed like a new vacuum. It even smelled new. It picks up tons of pet hair that I thought I was getting with the Oreck that I had. It's great to see the hair collected and then dumped out. Makes me feel good that I'm vacuuming up all that I do.

No only does this vacuum pick up what others do not, the carpet cleaner is excellent. It works as well, if not better, than my carpet shampooer, and it smells better.

this was my first purchase from overstock.com.the product showed up in a timely fashion and looks new. it also performs as advertised, so i would recommend to anyone. it meets and exceeds my expectations. i'd been reviewing this type of vacuum for sometime now, but had hedged on a new one, due to the price. overstock's pricing met my needs and the product has performed great.thanks,

I just purchased a refurbished Dyson DC14 animal vacuum and I received it yesterday. I was in dire need of a vacuum and never anticpated the UPS man's visit so much. I was a little dissapointed that I could tell by the attachments that the vacuum had been used, but I did get a pretty good deal on it. So far so good, I do like the vacuum, and I'm embarrassed to say how much stuff it picked up. I filled the canister with just my downstairs. The only drawback I see so far it although it has a very long hose, I have alot of steps and the warning directions state to leave the vacuum downstairs. However, I do have to vacuum from the top of the stairs to get the last few. It's a little akward, but I'm sure I'll get used to it. The vacuum is good, but I still think I like my Kirby better. It's still to be determined.

This is the first Dyson that we've owned, and it's amazing. The sucking power is great, and it cleans thoroughly.The only issue that we've run into is that front of the vacuum is not high enough to go over goldfish crackers spilled on our hardwood floor - easily resolved by using the hose.

I love this vacuem it works great and the only thing that I had a hard time with was how detailed the manual was. There is a lot you have to read before you figure out how all the extras work but, after you do it is so great!! Works great on getting the all the dog hair up and I have 3 long haired dogs so I know how fur can get all over.

My old vacuum cleaner recently broke. I have two cats that shed on my furniture. When I received my Dyson, I couldn't wait to vacuum up that pet hair. I was very impressed with the quality of the product. My couches looked new again!

I have owned my Dyson about a month and I absolutely LOVE this vacuum!! In my opinion one of the best purchases I have ever made! I would gladly pay full price for a new one now that I have it in my house but don't think I am disadvantaged at all by the fact that I bought a refurbished one. This refurbished vacuum was half the price of brand new, yet upon arrival looked completely new! Not a spot of dirt or dust on it! All the attachments came with it bagged up very nicely (most of which I have yet to try). It also included some extras that I wasn't expecting like carpet cleaner spray and powder that I thought you only got with the purchase of a new Dyson.I immediately put the Dyson to work in my living room which already had been vacuumed the previous day with my dying Hoover that was being replaced. Our carpet had the appearance of being clean but as soon as I turned on the Dyson swirls of dust and dirt started swimming around the canister and I was hooked! I moved on to the stairs and the whole upstairs of our house amazed and disgusted at what our old vacuum had been missing in our carpets all of those years! I am pregnant with our third child and currently
