I bought this vacuum refurbished, but it came in looking barnd new. This vaccum is wonderful! It was east to figure out, and all the attachments are really helpful. The stair tool is my favorite since I hate doing the stairs, Luckily, the extra long reach of the wand can get up half my stairs before I have to move it-unlike our last one. The suction is really strong and easily switched from carpet to bare floors. It cuts my cleaning time down since it also does the work of a broom and dust pan, Not to mention how much dirt and dust this picks up that our other vaccum left behind....yuck!

Bought this as a back up vacuum becasue of the Dyson name. I did not use the vacuum right away which was a mistake because when I eventually used it, it made sucha godawful racket when I tried to vscuum the rugs that I had to quit. It was over the return policy window for Overstick so I had to take it to an authorized reapir center for Dyson products (not near my neighborhood at all). They could not figure out 100% what was the cause of the noise but it seemed to work OK. Since I have used it just a handful of times, the vacuum worked off and on with the rugs making the noise only intermittently. I just tried it again (2/4/2012) and the noise is non-stop. It just cannot be used at all. I tried to give DYyson the benefit here but I just want this replaced. I am truly unhappy with this vacuum and I have purchased many things from Overstock and usually am very happy with the purchases. I am waiting to see what the manufacturer's warranty will say about this. It has a 5-year coverage so let's hope.

This is my second Dyson (gave my grand-daughter the first one) and I love how easy they are to handle and how well they vacuum. They really are a good buy for a good price.

After trying all kinds of vacuum cleaners over the last 40 years, my wife has complained about them for various reasons: the bags get full too quickly, the bag attachment has broken, the last thing was that it had no wheels and took a strong man to push it around the carpet (you could lift it with one finger). I finely decided to get the highly advertised Dyson. All she can say is wow! She loves it. She can vacuum anywhere she needs to from the ceiling to under the furniture to the carpet to the floors.

The Dyson exceeded my expectations. Awesome!!!!!! Used on wood laminate flooring, tile, sofa, and carpet. Worked great on everything. Picks up dog hair and everything else. I would highly recommend. Definitely worth the money.

I have wanted one for along time, but could not justify paying that much money for a vaccum. Someone I work with just recieved one for there wedding shower, although a more expensive one. I went one the Dyson web site and found them to be more than I was still willing to pay, so I tried Overstock and found one for *****and went for it. I am very pleased. It does not have the rollerball, but saving the money was a better deal for me.

We bought this vacuum after having gone through many other models over the years. In our family, we vacuum a lot, especially after art projects (we home school), and so it had to be a good one. The results are so stunning, I find myself ENJOYING cleaning up. Not something I could say before.

I'm very happy with my purchase. This is my first Dyson. I hope it lasts for many years. I love the way the dust canister opens from the bottom. I have asthma and that keeps me from breathing in alot of dust.

I am in love with my new cleaner! It is amazing and so easy to use. The lightweight vac is a delight and now i just vac. just to watch it clean. i have never had such a great vac. It just makes cleaning a delight! Best purchase i have bought in years!

I really love this vacuum. I have two big dogs and we are renovating parts of the house, needless to say our house can become a total mess very quickly. The vaccum is great on hardwood and carpet - the only thing it wont work on is this one shag area rug we have. Overall a great buy.

I am like others who have gone through plenty of vacuums. And this one is the bomb! Excellent. Even the guy who delivered it couldn't get up my driveway fast enough to tell me how much he loved it! The suction is strong and it is easy to use all the parts. It is pretty light and moves easily on both rug and hardwood floors.

Great suction- really gets up pet fur and dirt. My carpet was a different color after I used it. You also can't beat the cheap shipping costs from overstock. On the down side, the detachable hose is hard to manipulate and overly complicated. It is hard to vacuum the furniture with it.

SWEET!!!! I am a male with a new DC 14 my ex g/f took the $1800 Kirby after she bought that and all we heard was should of bought a Dyson, well she and Kirby are gone and I hunted down this great priced DC 14... received today I love it the carpet and hard lino's no prob the wand and bagless feature and low tilt back upright handle to get into low places and the incrediable sucking power blew my mind!! Under $300 w/ship'n what a find ... Very happy!!!

I bought it for my wife and she loves it. We vacuum our house frequently and thought that our rugs were clean, but boy what a difference Dyson has made. The suction is very powerful even when you use the attachments. Does a great job. Easy to clean. The extra long cord is a bonus and I just plug it in and cover 4 rooms with ease. Would recommend this to anyone considering a vacuum buy. Worth the investment.

I love this vacuum. I am always amazed at what it picks up.. The apholstery attachment is wonderful. Not as effortless as I would like, but you can't be the perfomance. You think your home is clean until you use this vacuum. I LOVE IT!!!!!!

I LOVE IT! I have 2 kiddos, 1 dog and a husband. I need a great vacuum! I had a Oreck and it was picking up nothing! It was not cheap either! The Dyson gets the job done! Yes its on the heavy side but it WORKS! I actually like this older model better then the newer models. It seems better made and more solid. So far I am very happy!

This is a good vacuum cleaner. I had trouble assembling the handle and tools but other than that everything went fine. It is very powerful and picks up on my laminate floors very good.I have only had it a couple months so hope that it lasts a long time.

I finally decided to replace two elderly upright vacuums. After reading the reviews on Overstock and elsewhere I bought this Dyson DC14. Wow! I cannot say enough about this vacuum! It has amazing suction and I was ecstatic vacuuming my house with it for the first time. Could not believe all the dirt, pet hair, etc. it got up -- left behind by my previous vacs. The jury's still out on the long hose for the attachments. As somebody mentioned, it is rather stiff. Presumably it will limber up with use. The vacuum is a little heavy for carting up and down stairs. I'm thinking I should buy another one so I can keep one on each floor. Don't love the taxi cab yellow color or the robotic appearance, but what matters is that it vacuums beautifully!!!

I absolutely love vaccum. It delivers and performs above my expectations. The only concern is the stretch tubing for the attatchments. It recoils and is very stiff. Otherwise it is a great machine and a great value.

WOW i can't say enough about this vacuum! Suction is incredible....way better than my over priced Kirby...
