What did I do without a Dyson all this time? I was skeptical at first because of the cost but it is worth every penny and more. It is lightweight, easy to use, easy to dump the dirt. I have a vacuum upstairs and one downstairs - this has eliminated both. And I love the long cord.Vaccums close to the wall and made my carpet look new. And I have 1 cat, 2 dogs and 2 guinea pigs and two toddlers so you know this is a top notch quality vacuum. LOVE IT! Highest recommendations.

This has got to be the most fantastic vacuum I've ever used. When I first got it, I couldn't believe how much dirt was in my carpets, even though I had recently vacuumed with my old vacuum cleaner. Even more amazing, is that each week I use it, it continues to pick up so much dirt and dust. It works very well at picking up animal hair (hence its name, Animal). I would recommend buying a Dyson to anyone. I don't often get this excited over a vacuum cleaner! But you've GOT to try one!

I have a dog and it picks up all the hair. She sheds so much that I do have to empty the canister often, but it is very simple to do. I love not having a bag.

I love this vacuum cleaner. I have a cat who sheds all the time, and I finally broke down and bought a dyson because I had heard it was the best. It's true - the vacuum is terrific and gets up everything. The attachments are great and one of them in particular is really good on upholstery. My only "not as positive" comment is that when you are vacuuming upholstery, the hose which attaches to the main handle is very stiff which means that the entire vacuum will move around as you are vacuuming cushions etc. Otherwise, I think it is terrific for the price. I vacuum every couple of days now because I like the machine so much. It's also really easy to empty. I do encourage people to read the directions. For the first half hour, it seemed really complicated, but after I used it properly for the first time, I haven't had to look at the directions again. A great buy.

This vacuum is AMAZING! I have 4 cats, and my previous vacuum would get clogged several times, during each vacuuming session. But not the Dyson. You would be amazed (and grossed out) at all the hair, dust and other unknown items it sucks up! I wouldn't trade my dyson for any other vacuum in the world. The attachments are great, and so easy to use. Also, I love the fact that you can vacuum bare floors with it too, so when I'm vacuuming my carpet, I can switch it over to the bare floor setting and vacuum my bathroom and kitchen tile. I've recommened this to several people, including my sister. She bought one too, and loves it. In fact, the last family gathering she pulled out her Dyson and did a demo to our family!!

I had read other reviews, and friends had told me about their Dysons, but until I tried it for myself I thought they were exaggerating. But after using it, I have to say that it's all true... I have never used such an efficient vacuum cleaner. It is amazing how much this thing picks up, and how easily. And it's easy to empty, too. The only thing that I'm still finding challenging is using the attachments - it's a bit awkward - but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

I bought my dyson 1 yr ago, it is wonderful and I recommended it to a friend. She purchased one and loves it. Another friend borrowed my vac as hers had broken and she immediately purchased one! 3 separate homes with wooden floors and pets - love, love love this vacuum.

I have only used it a few times, however it is very light and easy to manueuver. very easy to empty canister. Not loud at all. So far I am happy with my purchase.

I had to have one of these Dyson Vacuum Cleaners after my daughter bought one from Overstock.com and I used hers just one time and was SOLD! Oh my gosh, this unit picked up so much embedded animal hair, dust and dirt that my current vacuum was missing, I was almost embarrassed. It's amazing what this unit still manages to pull up. I'm thrilled to not have anymore dust bags to buy and deal with. If you are on the fence to get a Dyson...jump on over and make the leap of faith you won't be sorry you did.

This vacuum is really good for pet hair. It's very powerful, lightweight, and was able to remove all the dog hair that was on our rug and couch. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has pets and is looking for something to really do the job. I found it to be a little expensive but it does what it claims to do so I still think its worth it.

I love my new Dyson vacuum. I love the one that I bought for our main house so I decided to buy a second one for our beach house. It is great. I love the attachments that go along with it. Delivery was prompt. Thanks Overstock.

I have only had the Dyson DC 14 a few weeks so I can not comment on the durability therefore I gave it three stars. I love this vacuum cleaner, I could not believe the amount of lint, dirt etc. that it picked up. I thought my rugs were clean until I used this vacuum. It weighs a little over 18 pounds and is a little heavy for me to take up and down the stairs, but thats where my husband comes in real handy. It is so easy to empty and the filter was easy to locate. I am so happy that I do not have to buy bags or filters, that was a big plus and helped to make my decision on purchasing this wonderful vacuum cleaner. I have already recommended the DC 14 to many of my friends and family members.

This is an outstanding vacuum - exceeded my expectations. Eliminated the need for second vacuum ( canister) because of the extended reach of the hose attachment. I can't believe what it picked up the first time I used it - and I vacuum often. It was very easy to assemble, it is light weight, great on hardwood floors and carpet and emptying the canister is so easy. It is expensive but well worth the price.

This vacuum picks up more dirt and pet hair than any other vacuum I've ever used. I'm still getting used to using some of the attatchments but I do love it and I know my floors are cleaner than they have ever been.

I love this vacuum,i 'am in the cleaning buz,i know my vacuums.this one pick's up more then any one i've used,i would recommend it to everyone.i have two dogs and one bird.the vacuum makes my carpet look new ,stays cleaner longer.it is well worth the money!

I 've always had Hoover Wind Tunnels, but have grown tired of replacing belts, etc. I love the Dyson. I would like a little more instruction, as the instructions are "Euro" with little pics. So far the performance is excellent. We have a golden retriever and a sheep dog and the amount of hair being picked up is startling. No self propel so you have to use muscle. Good buy.

I recently purchased this vacuum after a long search. I have always like the looks of a dyson and the "never lose suction" aspect. My old vacuum aggetators burned up after two years of vacuuming up 4" long dog hair. I would clean the aggitators but it woudl always make its way to the end caps of the aggitators and start to melt inbetween there, which was not a pleasant smell. My old vacuum had four aggetators and this one has two. I find that cleaning these aggitators after each use is a lot easier and quicker than cleaning my old vacs aggitators. The handle/hose function is kind of acqward, but will be handy when I use it with the fan blade attachment. Emptying the container is really easy, but needs to be dumped into a large trash can not just a regular house one, makes a mess on the floor. Assembly was quick and easy and it takes up less room in my closet than my old one.

Received my Dyson DC 14 today which was 4 days from date ordered. It was scheduled to arrive on this same date. I usually try to put parts together without reading directions. I was not able to do it with the Dyson. I was slightly confused on the position of the wand in relationship to the hose. The directions were slightly confusing too. With some patience, I was able to put it together. The first room I vacuumed, I nearly couldn
