Wow! This rug pad made the rug feel like carpet. I have hardwood floors and I really like the substantial "cushion" that this rug pad provides. It really made a difference, I like it so much better than the the rubber-type-only pads, which should really only be used to prevent slippage. This pad does have a light layer underneath to prevent slippage, but the top is padded. I found it easy to cut, using a utility knife with a cutting board under it as I went along, as I did need to reduce the width just a bit to fit my rug. Great value, too!

I just put this pad down and I am very pleased with it. I was like others and didn't know whether to get the Superior or the Premium. After reading the reviews, I went with the Durable, due to one other buyers review. It's not like the padding you get with wall to wall carpet, but it does make it much more comforble, with a little cushiness to it. I would recommend this pad to anyone and yes, I had to trim it, but it was no big deal.....that's what scissors or a utility knife are for :) Don't expect to be walking on a cloud, but it's much better than what you can buy at your local builders or discount store!!

The cutting of the pad to match the carpet was a bit of a chore as I had to cut 2 sides of it, But with a ruler and a utility knife it was okay.

This is a fairly thick, durable pad that lays flat and does what it should. My only issue is that the side that goes down on my newly finished hardwood floors is rather rough. It has scratcy bits sticking out and this is a bit worrisome. Overall, since the rug doesn't move, it is probably not a big issue, but we did have to slide the rug to reposition it. We took everything off the rug and pad and I am still concerned that it could scratch the floor.

The pad makes the rug feel like a very soft carpet. I only have hardwood floors and I miss wall to wall carpet, almost as soft as carpet.

This is a very effective rug pad. It is medium to dark gray, about half an inch thick, The packaging does not say what it is made from, but the fibers are sort of "felted" together, and bonded to a textured rubber non-slip layer. It looks like it is well bonded together and will not disintegrate like the pads made from bits of foam. I have it under a wool rug over a ceramic floor, and it really adds to the comfort of the rug. I feel confident that it is protecting my rug from extra wear over the hard flooring. It is not really "cushy" feeling, but it does make the rug feel softer. The sizing seems accurate; I did not measure, but I needed to trim about 2" off one side to fit the same size rug. I'm sure the rug is odd sized. Trimming was easy with a pair of strong scissors. I do not notice any chemical smell, and the pad quickly flattens out after unrolling. It is made in the USA by Safavieh.

A great pad, I put it underneath a thick new 7'9x10'6 rug and cut off the excess. Now my cat has moved her favorite spot from the sofa to the rug! Was actually a bit bigger than 8', more like 8.5', but was evenly cut. I like that even though it grips the floor well, I can grab an end third and pull the rug and pad and slide to adjust where I want it to sit.

Perfect for the quality wool rug I purchased from O.co. I have had this under the rug that sets on hardwood floor for about a year. No slipping and rug is very soft and cushy to walk on. With this pad under the wool rug my Roomba will go onto rug from hardwood floor and vice versa. Very nice and so much nicer than what I could find in any stores near me.

Excellent quality that's much heavier than the usual rubber webbing rug pads, it makes my large flokati rug so much more cushiony to walk on in addition to holding it in place on our wood floors. Easy to trim down to size with a rotary cutter, though heavy scissors would also work fine. Arrived very quickly and at an excellent price. Definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a rug pad.

This rug pad is quite substantial, not like the flimsy things you usually see. It is well made, very cushiony. Will not leave any sticky residue on your floor.
