Great area rug pad!!
I bought this pad for my new area rug, about 3 weeks ago. I replaced an older rug and under that, I had the rubber type pad and it was always sooooo hard. Well, I found this one from Overstock.com and with reading the reviews, decided to try it out. I LOVE IT!!! It makes a world of difference........it is so much softer than before and is so much more comfortable to lay on the floor now. I would recommend this pad to everyone. I went with the "Durable" due to one of the other reviewer's comments and am glad I did. I also thought it was at a fair price. My suggestion to some people would be, "if you want it to feel really, really soft, just like wall to wall carpet, then that is what you need to put down.....not an area rug!" This pad is for an area rug and you will not get that deep sinking feeling when you step on it, but it is soft and if you have had one of the other area rug pads, you will be very glad you bought this one!!!

Great Rug Pad
This rug pad does the job. I'll admit, I was surprised as I thought it might be thicker, but it definitely adds softness under an area rug also purchased from Overstock. I debated actually needing/getting the rug pad fpr underneath the rug and I'm so glad I did. The rug is soft to walk on sit on, etc. The pad is true to size. Like other reviewers, it is a little larger than 8x10 and neededto be cut down slightly, not a big deal. As yes, the pad isn't 'pretty', but heck, it's going under a rug and no one sees it!! Great grip power too.

Heavy, good quality pad
This pad arrived before the rug we ordered, and it was HEAVY to carry into the house. I was impressed by how solid it seems, and it does not slide around on the floor at all. We received the rug, which is a little smaller than the pad, so I cut it down a few inches with a sharp utility knife. It cut smoothly, and there are no uneven edges from the cutting. I can crawl on my hands and knees with our dogs on this without any discomfort to my knees. As our rug is pretty thin, this says something about the pad. I would buy it again.

Thin pad
We purchased this pad to go under an Overstock rug. The pad was much thinner than we expected and provided some, but minimal padding. For another rug we tried the "superior" series and that is every so slightly thicker (maybe 1 mm), but provides slightly more cushion. If I were to buy a pad again I would purchase the "superior" series over the "durable" series.

Great product
This is just as good quality as the superior, can not beat the price either, I will have to cut it a little, I bought a 8*10 carpet and then the 8*10 pad, turns out the pad was a bit wider and longer which is unusual, but works for me! I just love the added comfort to my stained concrete floor.

Nice, think carpet pad.
So let me just say that we like this rug pad so much that we ordered two more after receiving the first one. Normally, there's really nothing to be excited about when it comes to a rug pad that is purely functional and out of sight. But as soon as I laid the first pad under the rug, I was amazed at how cushy and comfortable the rug felt under our feet. The quality of this rug pad is great. It's thicker than any pad we've ever purchased in stores and it actually stays in place. There's no slipping around whatsoever. We've had the first one for over 6 months and it's just as good as the day we laid it down - and that's saying a lot for the high traffic area it is in and the fact that we have two very energetic 80 pound dogs. I've now purchased this rug pad for all the large rugs throughout our house and it makes a world of difference. The old hardwood floors are better protected from wear and tear and our feet are so much happier.

Great for hardwood floors
I purchased this pad to protect the hardwood in my living room and give my rug more plushness and depth. I am very satisfied with this purchase - The pad keeps the rug from moving, protects the hardwood floor, and gives and nice extra depth between the rug and the wood that helps increase the comfort under foot and warmth of the rug. It is very heavy, I brought it in and unrolled it by myself, but it would be easier with two people. Also, one side was too wide and needed to be trimmed so it didn't show outside the rug. But it was exactly what I was hoping for to put in between my medium pile rug and my hardwood floors. I would purchase again for another room!

Good pad.
This was a thick pad, which works great under my rug. The pad was larger than an 8X10 and we had to cut it down to fit under the 8X10 rug. It was hard to cut as it was so thick, but the thickness was great for under the rug.

Great rug pad.
Wanted this pad for an 8 x 10 carpet I purchased from Overstock.com. It lays nicely, and makes the carpet seem even plusher than it is. I think it's the "real deal" as far as durability goes. Only time will tell.
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Doesn't matter what color a rug pad is. It's kind of a marbled medium grey color.
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. Nice and thicker than I originally thought. Slightly larger than the 8x10 carpet, but trims easily.

I bought an indoor/outdoor rug for my dinning room and wanted to have a little bit of a cushion feeling to it. This padding is exactly 8'x10' it states it to me and I am happy with the feel of it under my rug.
