these are high quality pads which can be cut to exact size using strong, sharp scissors. I bought a larger pad also and cut to size for 2 additional oriental rugs saving money. I will buy more for my other rugs soon!!!!!!!!!!!

This pad is thick and durable: as-good or better quality than the pad I have under my wall-to-wall carpet. The non-skid coating on the bottom does its job well on both wood and tile floors. There was no odor to the pad (which is sometimes a problem with area rugs and silmilar items). I had an odd-shaped rug and needed to trim the rug-pad to size. This was easily accomplished with a decent pair of scissors. The pad significantly improved the cushion provided by the already-thick pile of the rug. The rug doesn't slip at all on top of the pad. In the past, I've used area rugs without a pad. They didn't last very long (the pile matted and flattened), and they were not very comfortable to walk on. I am confident that this pad is the solution to that problem, that it will increase the longevity of my new rugs - it certainly made them soft and cushiony! So pleased!

This is a good product. It's made of recycled fiber. It's sort of felt-like (or maybe it IS felt). There is no smell (unlike those annoying plastic web things--they never lose their burnt rubber stink). We've been using it for about a month now and our carpet has not moved an inch. I do wish it were a bit thicker and cushier, but it is what it says it is. I wish I could afford to buy two of them for each of my carpets!

This non slip rug pad does just what it is meant to do. My rug stays in place nicely. I did have to trim it down, which was not difficult.

After debating between the supreme and durable and reading tons of reviews I settled on the durable. Definitely glad I did! The rug pad made my rugs cushy and was very easy to cut to size with kitchen scissors.

I've only had this rug pad for a week, but it really makes a huge difference. Can't believe how strongly it grips the floor, no sliding at all. Very thickly padded.

I purchased the durable hard surface and carpet rug pad to go beneath a shag rug in my daughter's bedroom. I am very pleased with the purchase. The rug pad fits to size, and provides just the right amount of cushioning. I have the same one in 5x8 size.

Carpet pad arrived within 4 business days. The pad needed to be trimmed to fit under our rug, this was not difficult to do. It is protecting our hard wood floor. We have used it only 2 weeks so cannot discuss the long term wear. I am currently pleased with the product and find no faults.

I bought this rug pad thinking that it would make my existing rug plush and luxurious, but it did not. It's very hard/firm and does not add softness to the rug as I had hoped.

I bought this pad to use under a 3x5 wool rug that I have on top of a carpeted area in my motor home. The pad makes the wool rug feel plush and very comfortable, but the main reason for my purchase was to stop the wool rug from "traveling" and to not have to constantly reposition it. With the pad underneath the wool rug does not travel as much as it did before, but it still does travel, which is very frustrating. I cut the pad to size so I cannot return it. I'll have to be content with repositioning the wool rug 1-2 times a day as opposed to the 4-5 times a day I had to reposition it before I bought the pad.
