I'm nearly 70 + was not looking forward to fighting with a bedframe. I took it out of the box, unfolded it,set the legs like a card table and it was done.I'm also a large woman + it's very sturdy -- no creaks or groans.

This is a very sturdy bed frame. It folds up for easy storage too if you don't need it for everyday use. I have it under my spare mattress and couldn't be happier with the support and sturdiness of the frame. i can also get storage items under the bed easily which makes for better usage of the "blank" space. Thanks for offering this item. I bought two, an extra for guests using an air mattress.
Bought this for aero bed to get up off ground and look like real bed.It is just as high as a standard twin bed when mattress is added. Surpassed the quality I was expecting! Super strong, I don't believe anyone or anything could harm this frame.I would not hesitate to honestly put a 400# person on it. I was concerned with the quality when ordering wondering if it would "pop" an air mattress, but there are no, repeat, no sharp points on this frame to beware of. It folds up to a size I didn't think possible, will take it with camping to stay off the permanently cold ground in Montana even in the summer time here, and we found to move it as a bed is so incredibly easy and light it's never going to be an issue needing a truck etc like regular beds. Love that the legs are actually hidden under the frame itself so no one can stub toes either! Wonderful buy, don't even hesitate if considering.

How accurate was the on site description of the product? exact!
These folding frames were exactly what I was looking for. There is no assembly required just take them out of the box & unfold them. We have heavy mattresses and the frames easily support them. I love being able to use these when we have lots of family visiting so they don't have to sleep on the floor!

This is a great product, I am so glad I did not go with the traditional bed stand and box springs from a mattress store. Instead, I ordered this mattress stand and simply took it our of the box, unfolded it, and it was ready for the mattress to be placed on it. It is simple to install and quite durable. This mattress stand precludes the use of a box spring so we saved money and avoided the extra effort in transporting the set to my daughter's apartment. Matched with an Overstock.com mattress, this was the perfect start up gift for my daughter's new apartment.
I am very sensitive to paints and finishes. Is there any odor to the paint used on the metal?idune on Jul 3, 2014Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Hello idune, we have not been notified about odors from the paints and finishes on the DuraBed Twin-size Heavy Duty Steel Foundation & Frame-in-One Mattress Support System Platform Bed Frame. We always do recommend unpacking the item and letting it air out for a little bit before using it. As if there could be a smell to it. Thanks for shopping with us!overstockcustomercare1 on Jul 10, 2014
No, there is not. I have had this for 2 years now, and it's been great.bjd444 on Jul 15, 2014
I didn't smell anything but my husband said he smelled a odd oder for a week or two after receiving the bed frame. I wiped it down with a damp cloth with a mild soap and water. and aired it out. No problem since. Not sure if it was the bed frame or the packaging that caused the oder.2jochi on Aug 30, 2014
I am confused. After searching through the Q&A's I see that overstockcustomercare1 has said that the headboard brackets are included with this twin frame and in another questions they say it is not. Thank you for contacting us 2379w. There are two pictures on this item’s webpage that show the item partially folded and folded. They are after the pictures of the bin. The outer legs just fold inward and then the bed folds in half.
Please let us know if you have any further questions.overstockcustomercare1 on Apr 22, 2014
You put it on its side and pull the legs towards you a little so you take tension off the screw then push on the metal tabs so the screw will slide in the bracebigsexy32970 on Jun 27, 2014
I am concerned about the folded dimensions of the twin size bed. It says 38 in. L (OK) X 21 in. L (how can it be?) X 6 in. thick (OK). Per the picture shown, the twin size bed folds in half on its length but not on its width. So, how can this twin size bed be 21 in. long when folded? I would believe it would be 39 in. long. Could you please clarify? Thank you.bigblue34 on Apr 12, 2014Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question

Good question, wish i had an answer. I did not measure it and the mattress is on it now. All i know is that I bought this and am very happy with it. There is a regular twin mattress on it and it is perfect. It comes in a box that you just pull out and unfold. no directions needed.sequoia1234 on May 22, 2014

Hi, can this bedframe with any mattress be used comfortably for daily sleeping for long term use?heaven2u on Feb 5, 2014Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Yes, it can, I'm sure since it has really sturdy springs. I have a 6-in. thick memory foam mattress and it's comfortable. Buy a good mattress but it doesn't have to be so thick. You can't go wrong with this bed for short-term or long-term use.hazfora on Feb 8, 2014
Yes it can I have 12 inch memory foam on top of it for about a year works just fine. Just a heads up you might want to use a power drill to tighten the screws about every six months if not it will sound squeaky.rayeddiejason on Mar 15, 2014
Yes, as long as the mattress is cozy for you. I have a regular mattress on it for company, but for me it was too hard, I'd need some memory foam on it as well. It is really sturdy and does not squeak like the old ones.sequoia1234 on May 22, 2014
Will the frame fold up for storage with a 2 inch memory foam mattress in place or must the mattress be removed and stored separately from the frame?d8g07b4320c7 on Nov 24, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
The bed does not fold inward on itself. In other words, when folded the mattress on the bed will be on the outside of the folded bed, not on the inside. Which would make me believe that the mattress would not stay on the frame during storage. Thank you for shopping with us.overstockcustomercare1 on Nov 26, 2013
I dont think that would be possiblejoshnwillsma on Sep 6, 2014

Do I need a box-spring with this frame for my inner-spring mattress? Does the mattress slide out of the frame?s0m30ne on Sep 21, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Hello s0m30ne, you do not need a box spring for this bed and the mattress should not slide around. Thank you for shopping with us. overstockcustomercare1 on Sep 23, 2013
i would not use a box spring unless you like a really high bed, a single mattress is sufficient and still tall.sequoia1234 on May 22, 2014
Hello jonas42, The storage bins pictured are normally available for purchase separately; however as of today they are out of stock. Once the item is restocked you will see it appear in the options menu. Thank you for shopping with us.overstockcustomercare1 on Sep 18, 2013
Hi ggyugyu, we can only recommend using our products as intended but it is possible. Thanks for shopping with us. overstockcustomercare1 on Sep 5, 2013
This does not really answer your question, but that would make a really high bed and hard to get into, unless you are really tall. It is 23 inches high with a cheap mattress on top. No pillow top. If it is storage you need, you can easily put a 13 inch tall by a 32 inch wide by 39 inch deep box or basket under this space on each side for added storage.sequoia1234 on May 22, 2014
Hello, thank you for your question. Any type of mattress would work for this bed. You would not need a box spring.overstockcustomercare1 on Feb 17, 2013
