  • very impressed

I'm nearly 70 + was not looking forward to fighting with a bedframe. I took it out of the box, unfolded it,set the legs like a card table and it was done.I'm also a large woman + it's very sturdy -- no creaks or groans.

  • Easy Twin Bed

This is a very sturdy bed frame. It folds up for easy storage too if you don't need it for everyday use. I have it under my spare mattress and couldn't be happier with the support and sturdiness of the frame. i can also get storage items under the bed easily which makes for better usage of the "blank" space. Thanks for offering this item. I bought two, an extra for guests using an air mattress.

  • You will have this forever!

Bought this for aero bed to get up off ground and look like real bed.It is just as high as a standard twin bed when mattress is added. Surpassed the quality I was expecting! Super strong, I don't believe anyone or anything could harm this frame.I would not hesitate to honestly put a 400# person on it. I was concerned with the quality when ordering wondering if it would "pop" an air mattress, but there are no, repeat, no sharp points on this frame to beware of. It folds up to a size I didn't think possible, will take it with camping to stay off the permanently cold ground in Montana even in the summer time here, and we found to move it as a bed is so incredibly easy and light it's never going to be an issue needing a truck etc like regular beds. Love that the legs are actually hidden under the frame itself so no one can stub toes either! Wonderful buy, don't even hesitate if considering.

  • Great product

These folding frames were exactly what I was looking for. There is no assembly required just take them out of the box & unfold them. We have heavy mattresses and the frames easily support them. I love being able to use these when we have lots of family visiting so they don't have to sleep on the floor!

  • Good product for the Money

Bought a couple of these for my guest room. Easy enough to set up and the twin size was not too heavy to carry up the stairs.

  • Great for extra bedroom!

Super easy to put up. I bought for a temporary bed for myself then moved it into the extra bedroom for guests. It was nice to not have to buy box springs for something that is not used often. I have a regular ***** mattress on jt that I paid $*** for at *** *****. Totally serves it's purpose and looks like a "regular bed" with a spread on it. Recommend!!

  • Bought for grandson

Grandson was sleeping on a mattress directly on floor until his mom was able to but him a new bed. This doesn't need a box spring and is sturdy enough for an adult...with some pillows and comforter this serves as a good bed. Happy with purchase

  • Sturdy, but squeaks over time

Bought this for my son. He's about 130 lbs. Sleeps on it every night. At first it was perfect, but over time it got squeaky as he'd turn or move. A bedskirt doesn't stay in place too well, but we use one anyway. We like it for it's simplicity.

    Guidelines
    • Hello brookemorganw, a standard bed skirt will work well with this frame. Thanks for shopping with us! L.B.

  • I am very sensitive to paints and finishes. Is there any odor to the paint used on the metal?

    Guidelines
    • Hello idune, we have not been notified about odors from the paints and finishes on the DuraBed Twin-size Heavy Duty Steel Foundation & Frame-in-One Mattress Support System Platform Bed Frame. We always do recommend unpacking the item and letting it air out for a little bit before using it. As if there could be a smell to it. Thanks for shopping with us!

    • No, there is not. I have had this for 2 years now, and it's been great.

    • No. No smells whatsoever

    • No smell at all.

    • I didn't smell anything but my husband said he smelled a odd oder for a week or two after receiving the bed frame. I wiped it down with a damp cloth with a mild soap and water. and aired it out. No problem since. Not sure if it was the bed frame or the packaging that caused the oder.

  • I am confused. After searching through the Q&A's I see that overstockcustomercare1 has said that the headboard brackets are included with this twin frame and in another questions they say it is not. Are the headboard brackets included or not?

    Guidelines
    • You will have an option to buy the frame with or without the brackets

    • not in mine. i do love this though because of its simplicity. opens one two three done. eezy peezy sweet as pie!

    • mine didn't come with brackets, but it does have slots to attach a headboard

    • No, I didn't find any with my bed

    • Not for the cheapest price. I think it was about $20 more the brackets. you will see the option in the drop down menu.

  • How do you fold the bed frame back?

    Guidelines
    • Thank you for contacting us 2379w. There are two pictures on this item?s webpage that show the item partially folded and folded. They are after the pictures of the bin. The outer legs just fold inward and then the bed folds in half. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    • You put it on its side and pull the legs towards you a little so you take tension off the screw then push on the metal tabs so the screw will slide in the brace

  • I am concerned about the folded dimensions of the twin size bed. It says 38 in. L (OK) X 21 in. L (how can it be?) X 6 in. thick (OK). Per the picture shown, the twin size bed folds in half on its length but not on its width. So, how can this twin size bed be 21 in. long when folded? I would believe it would be 39 in. long. Could you please clarify? Thank you.

    • Good question, wish i had an answer. I did not measure it and the mattress is on it now. All i know is that I bought this and am very happy with it. There is a regular twin mattress on it and it is perfect. It comes in a box that you just pull out and unfold. no directions needed.

  • Can a pop up trundle bed slide under this bed frame? Do you have a raised twin bed frame that can accomodate a collapsable trundle bed?

    Guidelines
    • No, a pop-up won't work because there are support bars in the middle...

    • I don't think so because of the way it is designed.

    • I don't think so. There is a leg that would prevent anything going under it.

  • Hi, can this bedframe with any mattress be used comfortably for daily sleeping for long term use?

    Guidelines
    • Yes, it can, I'm sure since it has really sturdy springs. I have a 6-in. thick memory foam mattress and it's comfortable. Buy a good mattress but it doesn't have to be so thick. You can't go wrong with this bed for short-term or long-term use.

    • Yes it can I have 12 inch memory foam on top of it for about a year works just fine. Just a heads up you might want to use a power drill to tighten the screws about every six months if not it will sound squeaky.

    • Yes, as long as the mattress is cozy for you. I have a regular mattress on it for company, but for me it was too hard, I'd need some memory foam on it as well. It is really sturdy and does not squeak like the old ones.

  • Will the frame fold up for storage with a 2 inch memory foam mattress in place or must the mattress be removed and stored separately from the frame?

    Guidelines
    • Hello d8g07b4320c7 The bed does not fold inward on itself. In other words, when folded the mattress on the bed will be on the outside of the folded bed, not on the inside. Which would make me believe that the mattress would not stay on the frame during storage. Thank you for shopping with us.

    • I dont think that would be possible

  • What does the decorative bedskirt look like Is it fabric? Also, if I purchase the bed with the storage bins can the bins be shipped later when they are in stock?

    • Hello marge36, The DuraBed Twin-size Steel Foldable Platform Bed is fabric and you can only order what we have in stock at the time of purchase. Please feel free to contact us again with any further questions. Thank you for shopping with us!

  • Do I need a box-spring with this frame for my inner-spring mattress? Does the mattress slide out of the frame?

    Guidelines
    • Hello s0m30ne, you do not need a box spring for this bed and the mattress should not slide around. Thank you for shopping with us.

    • i would not use a box spring unless you like a really high bed, a single mattress is sufficient and still tall.

  • can bed risers be used with this product?

    Guidelines
    • Hi ggyugyu, we can only recommend using our products as intended but it is possible. Thanks for shopping with us.

    • This does not really answer your question, but that would make a really high bed and hard to get into, unless you are really tall. It is 23 inches high with a cheap mattress on top. No pillow top. If it is storage you need, you can easily put a 13 inch tall by a 32 inch wide by 39 inch deep box or basket under this space on each side for added storage.

    • Hello, thank you for your question. Any type of mattress would work for this bed. You would not need a box spring.

Two ample underneath storage space areas of either 7 inches high x 30 inches wide x 39 inches deep/14 inches high x 22 inches wide x 39 inches deep; storage area size varies due to the support structure.
