I get to be the odd man out here concerning my experiences with this bed platform. I went in with high hopes but am about to buy a new platform. First of all, I am a relatively big person (6' 2" feet, 250lbs), so take that into account, but this platform broke. The supports that are meant to create a rigid structure really don't do so effectively. This is one of those beds that creaks and moans every time you climb on it. And you worry that it's going to completely bust if you even slightly jump on the bed. It's also NOISYwhen it creaks and moans. And then one night, BANG, it failed and the whole mattress fell to the floor. I managed to repair it by reattaching the support strut, but then gave up and put a box underneath that side to make sure it wouldn't fail again. NOT GOOD.
Also, and this is important and sucks, the matress slides on the top of the platform. You have to periodically (like every morning) pull the mattress back over the center of the platform. My mattress (a foam matress) moves A LOT on this one. It all makes for a less than comfortable sleeping/laying on the bed and watching TV experience. I bought it on price point and based on the recommendations here, but instead feel like I went cheaper and in this case, got what I paid for. I can't recommend this bed platform, sadly.

We bought this for a memory foam mattress that we also bought on Overstock. We were trying to save a couple hundred dollars since at the time there weren't any good deals on wood platform beds on here. Unfortunately, we wish we would have just forked out the few extra hundred, because now 6 months later, the bed squeaks so bad it actually wakes us up at night. Even my 17lb jack russell makes the bed squeak. It didn't always. When we first got it, it hardly made a sound but over time it will. We tried lubricating joints, adding boards, etc. We give up. I just bought a real platform bed on here. It setup easily enough, but if you want something long term. Just get a real bed.

I think this took about one week to arrive all in one box. When it did, the delivery guy just left it on my front steps and ran away. I'm a 5'6", 165 lb lady, and I had to push it into my entryway because I couldn't possibly lift it. From there, I couldn't wait for my son or husband to get home, so I unpacked it and brought up each of the two pieces separately to the bedroom. After that, it took me 15 mins or less to assemble. There were no missing parts, and the leg "cups" were all firmly attached to every one of the legs. I am using a euro mattress (about 7 or 9 inches) on top of this without any other support in between. We have a king Scan headboard/nightstand that this merged right into and looks phenomenal.
Everything about it is great: sturdy with plenty of legs to give support, noiseless, doesn't move around AT ALL, very firm and holds its shape.
The legs are kinda ugly, so you will want to use a bedskirt, or a full bedspread, which is what I am using and it's a perfect fit.
Don't even think twice about ordering this because it's probably the best deal available for a king bed, especially if you have your own headboard already!
I have had a 14 inch memory foam mattress on top of this frame for one month now. It was super easy to assemble. No tools needed and it probably took me less than 5 minutes to set up. The frame does not move nor does it squeak. The product is of sound quality. There is a large amount of space under the frame which, makes for great storage space.
It is sturdy enough since it's strong wire, but when you sit down the bed moves too much...the design doesn't allow you to get the true memory foam experience if that's the kind of mattress you have. We're switching to a full wood platform instead of this one...the legs allow for too much movement on this one.
This frame serves its purpose, but it is not very durable or sturdy. Because of its design, it is almost invisible if you have a bed-skirt and it allows ample space for under bed storage. However, the quality is questionable and it is a little unstable. Additionally, when our frame arrived it was broken. We had to contact the manufacturer and they sent us a replacement part. Overall, its worth what we spent on it. Sometimes, you actually get what you pay for.
We were concerned that this frame might not support our memory foam mattress. We have had it over 6 months and it works perfectly, no movement, creaks, or sagging. I will purchase another set should these ever wear out!
I felt it was necessary to put something between he metal wires that support the mattress and the mattress. The wires are fairly thin and I would prefer for the pad to be cut by the wires under the load of my weight and that of a sleeping partner rather than my mattress being cut(especially since it is an air mattress with a very thin bottom on the removable full cover). Bed boards would work, but I found an old blanket worked just fine. Once assembled, it is a little difficult to move the frame. Pushing the frame toward the wall makes the legs near the wall want to fold, so the frame has to be lifted slightly and pulled toward the wall. Same deal if you want to pull it away from the wall, you have to lift the far end slightly and pull. In addition to the convenience of being able to disassemble and fold the two sides of the platform when moving, the height and spacing between the legs allows for use of the space under the bed for considerable storage. My previous platform was lower and had more legs, resulting in less space for storage.
We've had our king size frame for 2 months and it squeaks and rocks horribly. It wasn't like this for the first couple of weeks, but now it's terrible. What can I do about getting this fixed?619mollymorrison on May 10, 2014Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question

I have a king size sleep number. When you look at the bottom (the support) it looks like two twins pushed together. I am not sure if they are connected at the bottom or not. I am sure the frame will support my bed weight wise, but I was wondering if it would it correctly on the frame itself? Thanks!kurtzrl99 on Jan 8, 2014Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question

is it possible to attach a headboard? Is there some way to attach? additional parts? Or this bedframe cannot work with a headboard?sadr4 on May 8, 2012Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
We have a king-sized bed, with a high leather headboard, wooden side & bottom "railings". The mattress is SO high, (the story "Princess & the Pea) should be changed to the "PRINCE". We already have a Serta pillowtop, and 4" of foam (not forgetting the foundations, also. It's so ridiculous... I feel like I need a step stool to get into the thing @ night then a fear of falling out in the AM! My friend and I actually spent an hour taking off the foundations, just out of curiosity to see how high it would be with either 2-3/4" plywood under it for support, plus an entire Sunday running around to furniture stores to see if one of the stores would just sell the slats, (BTW, my hubby had a fit, hitting his shins on the rails getting into bed, due to the fact that my friend and I were too hot and tired to put it back the way it was right away! There are 4 slats with 2 legs each, to hold the foundations up but I realize it's not enough support. Is there something like the product on this page, that will work, or am I forever to remain "a couch potato" lol. Any advice you could give us would be appreciated. I'd send pics but, but there's no way I'm lifting up that mattress for the 3rd time! Thank you. deb2864 on Apr 27, 2012Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
