Dublin Ivory Electric Fireplace

Ok it does require some knowledge of assembly to properly put this item together. If you can't handle medium to complex IKEA style items or put together a child bicycle/tricycle - than stay away. But the other reviews of broken pieces and remotes not working are not my experience. In fact the only problem I had was one ambiguous instruction which caused me to install one panel upside-down (I did not notice until much later in the build, but a little ingenuity and touch paint and no one is wiser). Works well and looks great.

We are very happy with the purchase of this fireplace! The entire transaction went smoothly. The fireplace, insert, and bookcases arrived in good condition and with all the pieces and hardware intact. It took several hours to assemble, but was well worth the time. The pieces were labeled and the instructions were easy to understand. The three boxes arrived exactly when expected via UPS. We are happy with this transaction and with the fireplace!

I am thrilled with the purchase, but am probably talking to myself as they seem to be sold out of the ivory version now! It is ivory, not white, but a light ivory as in the picture. I've had the fireplace for a couple of months now, it looks great, I get lots of compliments. This was the biggest, assumed most complicated assemply, purchase I've made on line, and was nervous about it. Oddly enough, the posts where individuals said they had problems but were fixed easily was what convinced me to go ahead with the order. These fireplaces are much more expenseive in stores, which I investigated, so I was afraid this might look different in person. It does not, looks great! We put it together on a Sat, and we did have a small problem. Customer Service is not open on Sat, but I left a message and they returned my call first thing Mon morning (to all the nos I left, home/cell) telling me they already shipped the needed piece and it was there the same week. In spite of all the extraordinary packing (just like all the other posts noted), one of the corners on the mantel had a small ding. So they replaced the full mantel, no questions, no return shipment of the old mantel. I didn't have to fill out any paperwork. Couldn't have been easier. The flame looks great, just like the expensive ones in the store. The remote never did work, but from the other comments I suspected that would happen, and it was not a deal breaker for me. There are a fair amount of pieces to assemble, I did think it was a small project to put it together, but it wasn't hard. I expected that and set the time aside, so it was not a problem. The end product is so worth it! Make sure your cordless drill/screwdriver is charged before you start :-) Love it!
