Nickel - Dressers

This cabinet, once put together, has been good-looking. It was a good buy. It is a great height and sophisticated enough to stand in my entry way. I love that there are two drawers in addition to the storage below. The drawers are so handy for keys and small electronics like my camera and handicam. My few complaints or caveats would be these: 1) the handles and pulls for the drawers seemed slightly unsophisticated or plain and didn't seem to go with the the rest of the look of the cabinet. The handles and pulls had a bright shiny silver finish - a matte nickel or burnished bronze worked better for this dark of a cabinet. I ended up buying burnished bronze pulls and handles for the cabinet. 2) the unit has a tendency to tip, especially with both doors open. Be sure to anchor it to the wall. 3) putting the unit together was quite a chore and took several hours to complete. Be sure to give yourself at least half a day to put it together. 4) the interior or the cabinet has no ventilation and can get stinky with all the shoes enclosed inside. To combat this, we drilled about 15 holes in the back of the cabinet using a 1/4" drill bit which has helped immensely.

The chest and the night stand very highend, and I pleased with my purchase. Eventually I will purchase the dresser. The color is rich and brushed nickel knobs on the drawers looks great!

Great quality for the cost. I purchased this for my teenage daughter who currently has a daybed with same wood stain and wrought iron. I was initially concerned it would not match but it's perfect. My daughter wanted to update her room and would've preferred a new mirrored bedroom suite all together. But with this dresser, I just simply added the OVStock mirrored nightstand/end table, a mirrored jewelry box, mirrored pig bank, and a silver leaf finish wall mirror. All her elecrtonics are aluminum/polished nickel finish..her walls are metalic grey and her desk is black wood. Not to mention the OV Stock Black & White Sequenced Vintage Floral Quilt set. She now loves her room again! We love overstock.com!! I would have given a 5 rating but the drawers were not as deep as I'd like but ok for my daughter.

I switched out the black knobs with nickel-finish knobs of the same shape and it made a world of difference in making this dresser look modern and fresh (Found the knobs at Home Depot for ~$2 each; need 12 knobs). It is a nice brown color, slim, solid wood dresser that could blend into a variety of decor. This piece, after proper assembly, could go head-to-head with any number of the $999+ dressers from from big name furniture stores and come out even to on top. Assembly took ~5 hours with 2 people (one was an experienced handyman). Would recommend sorting and laying out the different pieces before getting started; use a power drill; read the instructions, but also use your judgment/common sense to determine which way the pieces should be facing (sometimes the directions were confusing in that regard). Not sure if I would buy a piece that is so labor intensive again, but I'm so pleased with how this item turned out. My first purchase from Overstock and I was not disappointed.

The item arrived in a few boxes but they were packaged nicely inside in Styrofoam. All pieces and parts where there, and there was an extra screw given for each kind. I started putting this together on a Friday night and only got the frame done before I got tired. I finished up the next morning and it took me about 3 hours by myself. Some of the diagrams get a little confusing (and I ended up putting the drawer tracks on the opposite side - which was an easy fix, although highly annoying). I do have to comment that the wooden dowels to connect the pieces BREAK easily so there was one piece that I couldn't use it on - luckily it wasn't anything for support so I didn't mind too much. Also, one of the legs had the teeth on the screw fused together so it wouldn't screw on to the base. I tried to get creative with a small saw and tried to make it work. After about 20 minutes of frustration I was going to call OS to get a replacement part, but I gave it one last try and it finally screwed in (albeit a little warped). I also had the same issue with this dresser as I did with the nightstand - the backing piece that gets screwed into the back doesn't align perfectly - so be careful when you screw it is as it may damaged the wood on the inside. This happened in a few spots, but since it is "out of sight" (inside) I didn't mind at all. The top piece also had what looked like scratches on it - but I think it's just an imperfection in the wood itself as there is no divet of a surface scratch. Other than my assembly issues, I really love this dresser, especially the mid-century mod legs... cannot say that enough. I'm probably going to switch out the knobs to a brushed-nickel knob to give it more pop.

Took a week to get the chest, took almost as long to put together- lol. But seriously it took a couple hours to put it together as there are A LOT of parts, it takes a bit to get it figured out but once you get one drawer together and get the hang of it, it goes quickly. It is 100% particle board, not real wood like the description says. Seems all chests these days are particle board so for the cost that is expected. I purchased mine to use as a night stand, wanted to use the drawers for extra storage for smaller items, which the flimsy luan drawer bottoms won't hold anything heavy. The drawers do not have metal glides so it is particle board sliding over particle board. I am going to paint all the interior exposed parts and drawer bottoms and sides white so I think this will help them slide better... And now for the big issue- the CHEAP plastic drawer pulls! I laughed when I saw them, I cannot even imagine using those cheap things! I purchased satin nickel ones from ebay and they will make a huge difference. It's a good design and I would recommend this product for occasional use.

This product looks exactly like you portrayed it. It's a very nice heavy quality. The drawers roll smoothly and quietly, and the frosted glass drawer fronts are just lovely. The expresso color is wonderful! I use it in my bathroom to replace all the cheap plastic rolling carts. I found a matching expresso vanity with a cool green glass sink at Lowe's and matched the faucet to the brushed nickel drawer pulls. My old bathroom looks much more contemporary now! At first I was intimidated by all the myriad of pieces when it arrived on my doorstep, but they were all numbered precisely. I did have to enlist the help of a guy friend to complete it though, because I am not mechanically adept or experienced at putting kits together. The outcome was really nice. And I especially appreciated the free shipping, as it weighed so much!

We purchased the kota platform bed frame so it was only natural that we wanted this dresser as well. A word of advice before making your purchase. Watch the price! It fluctuates almost daily. When we purchased our bed, the dresser was listed for **** so we figured we'd wait a few months until we could save the money. Once it came time to make the purchase the price had shot up to over $*** For a few months I would check the price once a day and it would vary quite a bit. Finally we saw the price drop to around $**** which we thought was a fair price. We also had a10% off coupon so we ended up paying only about $***. Now for the unit itself. It was shipped in 3 boxes and everything came well packed. Nothing was damaged which was nice. As others have eluded to this thing takes quite a while to put together. I'm fairly handy and it took me 4 hours. There is just a lot of prep work for each piece. Id say about 3 hours is all prep and about 1 hour is assembly. The directions are not the clearest and some of the panels were mislabeled. Not a huge deal but took some extra time to figure out what was what. I took off 1 star because of what happened at the very end with the drawer pulls. The pre-drilled holes were too small. When I called support they advised me to drill out the holes to make them bigger. Even after I drilled the holes from 3/8 to 1/4 the pulls still wouldnt install because the metric screws they provided were too long. After a visit to multiple hardware stores looking for the correct screw length I decided to just purchase new pulls from ****** *****. Im super glad we did! We went with a round brush nickel pull and my wife and I both agree they look better than the circular chrome ones that came with the unit. I must say that overstock support was very friendly and offered to send out new pulls but I declined since we like the ones we purchased. All in all this is a sold dresser. A few snags during install but nothing major. This is about as nice a dresser as you are gonna get w/out spending way more for something with a 'tongue and groove' setup. Another word of advice when putting it together is to make sure not to over-tighten any of the screws. The panels are MDF and if you over-tighten the screws will just spin in their holes.

I have been searching for a smaller dresser for quite some time and am thrilled to find this. It is the perfect size for a small bedroom. I knocked off one star only because it looks a bit like kids furniture. I went to HD for brushed nickel knobs and it made a huge difference - elevated the piece completely. The delivery for this is white glove, meaning they set it up where you want it - no boxes or need for assembly. That is wonderful! I'd buy it again. If I didn't have to buy new knobs, would give 5 stars.
