Avoid placing your furniture in direct sunlight and maintain at least two feet between furniture and heat sources. Aniline and Protected leathers are especially sensitive to direct sunlight. Use a professional cleaner to help resist staining and prevent overall soiling. For oil based stains, use a professional degreaser.

So glad I took a chance to order a piece of furniture by mail. The description on line was perfectly accurate. It was easy to assemble. The smell and feel of fine leather is wonderful! I love my new bench!
Arrived in good condition and looks same as picture on web site. Only hassle was that on one side the screw holes in arm were drilled in wrong place (off by 1/4") which meant I could only use 3 out of 4 screws on that side, but finished item seems sturdy enough without the fourth screw on that side.
Better than I expected all around! The shipping took less than a week, it was packaged wonderfully and assembled in minutes! I admit I used a ratcheting socket wrench instead of the standard wrench that comes with the item, but the bolts are very long (attesting to it's quality) and would have taken too long without it.Anyway, it is beautiful! Solid, high quality furniture!I wanted to address the earlier comments about the smell...I didn't notice any foul or uncommonly strong odors; If you've ever gone to a leather jacket store, it smelled like that when first opened, but that is just the way leather smells...I love it, it is absolutely perfect in size, shape and workmanshipA little pricey, but since I couldn't find anything else, anywhere else, that was so perfectly what I wanted, it is worth it to me!

I am pleased overall with the purchase. This bench is in my foyer and is perfect, and what I was looking for, as the dark brown color is classy in appearance. The only complaint I have is the strange "smell" that was over-powering for a few days; spoiled green olives is the only way I can think to describe the smell. Once the piece was aired out, it has been fine. 4 on workmanship only because of the smell, which must be from the source of the leather/material maybe??? Leather typically has an odor, however this is nauseating; however temporary.......recommend placing the bench in a garage or other ventilated area to air out once you remove it from the box before putting it in the home. I would get another one as it looks great, was a great price, and the stench really was temporary!!!
