This item was not so much "overstocked" as it was "mis-manufactured". Two of the legs were mis-drilled, that or two of the skirt boards were mis-drilled. Either way, the unit was the result of a manufacturing defect. Fortunately my husband is a handyman and woodworker, so he was able to "make adjustments", but it would have been nice to know this problem going in. Had I not had someone available who could make the necessary modifications, I would be stuck with expensive firewood.

I am very pleased with the desk. It looks the same as on-line. It didn't take long to assemble. The desk was well packaged and protected in the shipping carton.

I bought this for receptionist but it didn't quite look right. As a result I gave it to a neighbor who loves it. Fits very well with her all white bedroom scheme. It was easy to put together and seems very sturdy. All in all, it's a very good buy.

I'm very glad that I purchased this desk. I searched many sites for a white desk with the right dimensions for my home office and this one was the perfect fit. The delivery time was really quick and the desk was very easy to put together (legs and slats). Did it in no time flat.

Bought this desk a year or so ago. The keyboard tray is very unstable and falls out if it gets banged (ie: by your legs as you are working). Due to one such fall the screws popped out of the hinges holding on the cover of the "drawer" and stripped the wood. We can't fix it, so now it is just an open keyboard tray like any other computer desk which is what we were trying to avoid when we bought this desk. Should have just bought the white computer desk from West Elm.

I was looking for an average to larger sized desk to fit in with my home office color scheme. After reviewing the available products (and missing out on the desk that was my first choice - if you want something on Overstock.com don't wait too long to purchase!), I selected this desk. Overall, I am quite happy with it. It was very simple to assemble, is sturdy, and I had no problems with the computer drawer. Actually, as I have a laptop, I don't need the drawer for the keyboard and I like that you can also just use the drawer as a "regular" drawer - the sides are high enough to contain my basic items - paper, pens, etc. The only problem I had with this desk is the damage. The packing was so poor, I had braced myself for damage, and sure enough the right front edge of the desk is smashed in. There is another chip on the front of the drawer, but it is small. I did not want to go to the hassle of figuring out how to repackage this and send it back, so I just accept it as is, but it's really too bad. I guess this is what comes with such cheap shipping, but other pieces I ordered at the same time - bar stools, lamp, and media center - had much better packaging (and no damage). I think it must depend on which company actually ships your product - because they don't come from a central overstock.com warehouse, they all come from whatever company is sending out the product - i guess this must be the way overstock has it's business set up. I will buy from overstock.com again, but it's always a gamble on the shipping and you never know in what state your product will arrive.

We have put the desk together, but have not yet put the computer on it. I am a bit concerned that the top will get scratched with use, so I am getting a piece of glass cut to fit the top to protect it.

Very nice looking desk. Seems pretty solid. If I can put it together by myself, anybody can! Unfortunately, one of the corners was a little banged up, and I didn't notice it until I had put it all together. But it is the back corner and faces into the wall, so not worth trying to get it replaced. A nice piece for the money.

I love how simple the desk looks in my bedroom. I am a bit concerned the draw for the keyboard is not sturdy enough. Be very careful not to lean on it. Still waiting for the white bankers style chair to go with the desk. The assembly was not too bad. Did it by myself. Overall, I think the desk was well worth the money.

The desk looks nice once it is put together, which is a pain to do alone. The drop down drawer for the key board fell off (it was factory put together) I had to use wood glue to fix it. Over all the desk seems quite sturdy.
