This Doral full-size bed and frame combine the elegance and traditional style of wood with the contemporary flare and durability of steel to match a variety of decor themes. Stylized black, powder-coated metal grills blend with walnut-finished posts for the perfect transitional piece. Thanks to the lacquer-coated wood and the resilient steel construction, this poster bed looks like new with minimal maintenance. The solid wood posts support both the arched metal headboard, which measures 61 inches high at the top of the arch, and the footboard, which is 34 inches high. The overall dimensions are 82 inches long by 55 inches wide by 55 inches high. A four-legged steel bed frame is included, and assembly is required.

This bed arrived quickly, all the boxes came on the same day. It was easy to put together, the directions were pretty easy to understand and it was lighter than I thought so I was able to put it together without my husbands help. We've been using the bed for a couple of weeks and it seems very sturdy. The only thing I would say is that it is very easy to scratch the finish on the wooden posts. I put a scratch in mine right off the bat trying to line the bed frame up to attach the headboard. But it's not very noticeable, so just be careful.

My husband assembled this bed with ease, and commented on the quality of the manufacturing. The frame is made in the U.S., with some of the decorative from outside the U.S. It is a lovely bed, and fits beautifully in our home. I am so thrilled with it, and my guests are happy too!

I bought this bed for my boyfriend and I to have as our first bed together. It is more beautiful than in the picture and has held up well with all of the use it has been getting. It is very sturdy and easy to put together. The customer service is great! I ordered the full size and got the queen...I had no problems getting the replacement parts needed. This is a great product and I would suggest it to anyone!!!
The bed is very beautiful and I really like it. I purchased it for my daughter and she is crazy about it and very proud. I didnt want to bother with putting it together and paid my 19 yr. old nephew $25 to put it together, it only took him 50 minutes, I could have done that my self.

This bed displays beautifully and was easy to assemble. It has three major flaws (in my opinion), which I will state here but not necessarily in order of importance. First off, there is no center support for the mattress and box springs. This is clearly shown in the ad but can be easily overlooked if one is purchasing in a hurry, as was I. To remedy this, just make sure to buy a sturdy, excellent quality box spring for your mattress and it will be ok. We purchased Beautyrest Maddyn from Overstock and it is a superior product and perfect for this bed. Secondly, once the bed is assembled the box spring does not lay flat on the bed frame. The factory-sealed parts directly above the four legs of the frame, do not lie flat on the frame. There is no way to adjust them. They stick up approx. 1/8-1/4 inch above the frame, hence, so does the box spring. To get the bed to lay flat on the frame, we had to hammer the heck out of these four slats to get them to lie flat, being careful not to damage the frame in the process. Not an easy task, since they are fairly thick metal parts. We were able to do that successfully, but shouldn't have had to. Last, but most importantly, is the over-powering chemical smell that permeates the bedroom when the door and windows are closed. I don't know if we are breathing the smell from a chemical used to finish the wood, or the smell of mildew, because it smells like a combination of both. If this bed had been displayed in a local store (open space) I would not have noticed the smell. When the bedroom door is kept open, the smell is minimal. When the door is closed, and people usually sleep with the door closed, the smell is overpowering. I have tried everything to get rid of it, to no avail. I currently have the bedroom closed off from the rest of the house, with an open window hoping to freeze the smell out. Because I bought this bed for my daughter who is a severe asthmatic, she slept in the guest room over Winter break. I called the company about this, left a voicemail with my name and phone number, and never received a call back. I would love to know what chemical we're being exposed to that smells this strongly. Very sad...and I read review after review before I bought this bed and there was no mention of it, which is why I feel the need to warn people now. Perhaps when the warm weather gets here and the windows are able to be left open 24/7, the issue will resolve itself as the newness of the bed wears off. If not, I will call this a $200.00 loss and replace it locally.

Which is better, a standard or low profile box-springr?set1 on Feb 19, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Thanks for your interest, generally you would use a low profile for aesthetics. As far as comfort its going to be the same support its really a personal preference.overstockcustomercare1 on Feb 22, 2013

Use a standard box-spring. Low profile would be too low, but that's because I like to slide right out of bed, and not climb up off of a lower bed. I have a lovely bedskirt and you do not see the box spring. I just purchased this bed and love it. It is very heavy, solid, fine quality...how can they sell it this cheap?kathleen220 on Mar 29, 2013
I'd say low profile actually, depending on how tall you are and how tall you'd like the bed to be. I'm 5'0" and I have to climb into it with a standard box spring.mskt87 on Jun 14, 2013
Mass is the amount of matter present in a body while weight is a measure of how strongly gravity pulls on that matter. Unfortunately we were unable to determine the max weight limit for each bed. I apoloigze about that inconvenience. This was tested at 300 pounds.overstockcustomercare1 on Jan 18, 2013
