I purchased 2 sets of these tiles in red, and used them in my laundry room. Overall, I am very pleased with them. They were very easy to install - my son and I did the job ourselves, with absolutely NO prior experience, and the floor looks great! I was surprised that the red had a good bit of black flecks, so they were a bit darker than what I had anticipated, but it worked out fine. Pros: -ease of installation - self adhesive backing (FYI - VERY sticky!) - somewhat thinner/less stiff backing than other carpet tiles I have seen, so they were much easier to cut (especially helpful for the odd angles and curves we had!) - were actually a bit stretchable/malleable (very helpful if you are inexperienced and find things just a little "off" here and there) - they butt up next to each other very closely, so they look very fluid - very low nap - vacuum up easily. Cons: - some tiles seemed to be cut a tiny bit crooked, (but it did not prove to be a huge problem - just used those ones on the ends or as ones we had to cut) - the color/pattern did not seem as uniform as I would have expected. Each tile has small, linear "ridges". I wanted to install them all in the same direction, to have more of a wall to wall appearance, but you could see shading differences between tiles. We ended up installing them in a parquet pattern and it turned out fine - we did find a couple of tiles that had flaws, but again, just used them as ones we cut and it was no problem.
Tiles were easy to install seems to be well stuck down. Easy to cut and easy to fit.. Priced very resonably... tiles are very colorful, I think they will wear well and are easy to vacuum. I used them in my utility room. I would recommend these carpet tiles to a friend. I would also use them again...
The product is great for covering bad floors. The entry to my apartment is a long hallway that is 18feet by 10feet of water stained cement slab. Since the product is lightweight, inexpensive and mold and mildew resistant it adhered to the cement with ease and for the smaller areas i used rubber cement to keep it in place. The tiles are of different shades of grey though. No matter how you turn them some are darker then the other. I shopped around and couldnt find any cheaper then this product. I am just happy I do not have to see that ugly basment floor as I enter my home.
A quick fix, They are very thin. I had expected them to be a little thicker. We have puppy issues with our carpet and needed a quick fix for our bathroom. They stick well and haven't come up yet. Like I said very thin. Keep that in mind.
I got these tiles to put under furniture on top of laminate flooring for warmth and the mildew resistance (we live in a very damp place next to a creek). The website description and the box said easy to remove and replace. When putting the tiles down I picked one up to repostion it and all the sticky adhesive was stuck to the floor. No amount of scraping could get it off. I ultimately had to use goop, but the floor finish was dulled. Because I was only using it under furniture, I was able to just peel a corner of the backing to hold each tile in place and then put the bed on top. The tiles are also very thin and would be uncomfortable if used over the entire floor.

I'm all about value, and these tiles are a great value if you have a large space to cover in a garage or basement. We just bought an house and the garage floor (where the laundry is located) was beyond disgusting. We turned to carpet tile because we wanted a budget friendly covering that would enable me to do laundry in my socks. We got these tiles on sale and were able to cover our floor for 99 cents per square foot and I couldn't be happier. Make no mistake - these are thin but for our purposes, they are perfect. Not all the tiles are exactly the same so you will get a bit of a checkerboard look, but that's no problem for us. The difference is night and day, the install was easy, and shipping was fairly quick. All in all we are very pleased with these.
I put these down myself, on top of my painted basement floor to create a retro look rec room for my grandkids. I used the gray and red tiles and created a checkerboard design and have had many compliments! They stick very well and don't appear to be coming up at all. Just make sure your floor is very clean!
I bought these tiles to use in 2 small closets to replace old worn carpeting. I have not installed the tiles yet but I think it will be easy. These carpet tiles are thin--they should be sufficient for the closets but not sure how well they would hold up under traffic. I have another larger, walk-in closet that I will use another type of flooring for since I have my doubts about using these tiles in a larger area. All in all, good for my purposes but not necessarily the answer for all applications.

Bought this for a basement bedroom for my son. It was very easy to install - my husband and son installed it in about 2 hours. The tiles are very thin which was okay for our project but might not work for higher traffic areas. Be careful when using a sweeper as the edges on some tiles started to unravel a tiny bit. Overall, I would recommend this product to others.

Can you use these tiles over carpet? I'm in an apartment and am not allowed to make permanent changes but the current color of my carpet is pretty retched.mmmpez on Aug 13, 2014Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Hello mmmpez, the carpet tiles will not adhere to carpet the same way they do to tile. They would not stay in place. Thank you for shopping with us! Amandaoverstockcustomercare2 on Aug 20, 2014
Yes. thought you don't really need them. Just make sure your floor is clean and level. Start at the center (to find it, just make an x from the 4 corners of the room with string). Work around it and cut the tiles as needed to fit the ends of the room. My husband and I were able to finish our garage (about 400 sq feet) in 1 day with breaks with zero experience.smt6810 on Feb 26, 2014

Would like to put these in a small bathroom which has linoleum flooring. There is only a toilet and sink in the room. Would these work over the linoleum?

I have beautiful original turn-of-the-century hardwood floors, and I am interested in using this carpet in just a few sections. It is easy to remove, and does it leave any residue and/or stains? I am renting an apartment, so I do not want to damage the floors.lanfoster on Jul 9, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
I used the tiles for my patio, as indoor-outdoor, and they are great in that type of application, low pile and easy to sweep - I would not use on hardwoods (especially beautiful turn-of-the-century where finish could be impacted) I recommend you check out the O's rug section instead, for some beautiful non-damaging options.mygoldwyn on Jul 14, 2013
definitely do not use them on hardwoods. They are not easy to remove and will likely damage the floorssmt6810 on Feb 26, 2014
Will these peel & stick tiles damage a porcelain flooring with radiant heating.

Hello brucewife! I love these tiles! Yes, these can be cut to the shape/size needed. In fact, several customers who have purchased this have said how easy it is to cut these. I hope this helps. Thanks for shopping with us.overstockcustomercare1 on May 17, 2013
Yes, I don't see why not. Use a utility knife and score the tile several times and it should cut just fine.smartdeal on May 17, 2013
