this chaise should be for a divette. its is not made for a child older than 2. it is sturdy very hard. not cushiony at all. i don't recommend this product. i purchased the product thinking my 3yr old could lie down and squishee into it to read. nope. its as hard as a rock. too short for her legs and that pink color is not that great at all. reminds me of peptobismal. this chaise lounge runs 'irregular. no wonder its on overstock. the manufacturer blew the dimensions on this chair. two tums down. :)

Wish It Would State Ages
The lounger is built very well and seems like it should be able to taken a beating. The back can be folded down for stowing it away. Very simple assembly, it only required a #3 Phillips screwdriver, only needed 8 screws which are included (mine was shipped with an extra pack of 8 screws). I bought this for my 4 1/2 years old daughter who wanted a reading chair so that she can put up feet while reading. When she sat in it, it seems a bit short for her age but she loved the color and design so we have to keep it. I wish they would at least state the age group for some of the children items on Overstock.com. Overall dimensions of an item do not always translate to real use and or fit. In my opinion this lounger is more suited for 2-3 yrs old.
