Read alot of reviews and decided to get the item anyways even though assembly seemed to be difficult. Got the product and assembled it within 1 hour with my husband doing most of the work. The directions were clear and easy to read. As long as you read the instructions it is extremely easy to put the whole thing together....no glue required!!!!! It looks and feels great...would definately recommend it. I have measured it to see exactly how big it is before i got it, because it does look alot bigger on the picture. It is alot cheaper on overstock compared to other online stores and you cant beat the shipping price.

I'm no stranger to "assembly required" inexpensive furniture. But this was a nightmare. Some of the pre-drilled holds didn't line up with the pegs and holes on the other pieces. It took three people to put the entire assembly together. I used a lot of wood glue. Once together, it's hiding the trash well, looks good and feels much sturdier than I thought possible, but I don't expect it to last long.

The finished product is a wonderful kitchen accent piece. However, the assembly of this piece is a challenge to say the least!! The directions leave a lot to the imagation. (My directions were badly faded and very difficult to read) There are several steps you will need another person to help with. Prepare yourself for a long night...but the finished piece is really worth the struggle.

Though time consuming to put together, this is a great addition to my kitchen as I now have a self-contained garbage! One drawback is that the trash bags rip if filled too full because of the interior panels, but I'm going to try to remedy that by covering the corners with felt. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the product and would recommend it to a friend.

Came in, so I put it together. I could tell right away that it was going to be less than I was expecting. Wood feels cheap and easily scratches. Nearly every piece was scratched a little to begin with. Screws and cam locks didn't seem to hold pieces together or lock in place at all. Wood glue helps. Basket drawers are folded on arrival and screw together. There's a half inch gap on all sides between the bottom and the sides, so storing anything small is a no go. Overall, feels cheap even for the low price.

I would recommend this unique trash bin and storage unit to everyone. I totally love the look and versatility of it. The wicker storage drawers are perfect for holding kitchen towels, table cloths and party paper goods like plates, glasses, and napkins. I even use one for my current favorite cookbooks. The only drawback of the design is the cutting board is too low unless you are a very short person. It looks great whether or not you actually use it as a cutting board or just a serving platter.

This product sits in my kitchen as a recycle bin for bottles and cans. We put a plastic bag inside the trash container area. There is a wooden lip that secures the plastic bag.No more unsightly bags with recycled "stuff" laying around the kitchen. My 17 year old put it together with no problem. We are very pleased with this purchase!

This cabinet was just what we needed to store our paper recyclables in. It is the easiest "assemble yourself" furniture I've ever put together and the wood is very sturdy compared to others I've purchased. I would highly recommend this to anyone needing some extra storage.

Easy to assemble and very presentable. My friends thought I paid more for the pieces than I actually did. I also bought the drawer sideboard. I have experience assembling cabinetry and put them to together by myself without help, I would not suggest that if you have no such experience, two people can assemble the piece quite easily.

The bad: It took me quite a while to put together, but that was probably my fault. The baskets don't slide very well, but they work okay. My trash can doesn't fit in the bin, so I need to find one that does. It's shorter than I anticipated, making the cutting board useless. There's actually a hole in the top where the cutting board fits.
The good: It looks great and I put my microwave on top of it to create more open counter space.

Once together this piece is excellent; however, there are way too many steps to assemble if you are not skilled (I had my neighbor put it together). Also, the directions are not very easy to follow. Despite the issues with assembling, this piece is an excellent trash can unit is fantastic!

I like the product. It was fairly easy to assemble with the instructions provided. As per previous reviews, the unit is not as tall as it looks on the picture, and the cutting board is not really useful. But it looks really pretty in my kitchen where I use it for recycling material.

I absolutely love it!!! I'm just mad that i waited so long to get it!! It arrived very quickly and i was able to put it together right away, a little tricky,BUT if you take it slow, it is easy to do!! It has made such a difference in the look of our kitchen...no more ugly trash can to look at!! It's a really nice looking piece of functional furniture!! Thanks again for another great product!!

I like the fact you can hide the garbage, but I actually don't use it for that. I put the recycle material in there. It does sratch very easy. I noticed that when putting it together. It is great for holding the kitchen linens. Overall I do like it. It would just be nice if it would just a bit taller, if find it short.

The unit itself, once put together is really nice looking and has great functionality. I love being able to hide away my ugly trash can. It wasn't difficult to put together, but remember to use wood glue as well. It helps make it all the more sturdy. Also, it seemed bigger in the picture, I put it together and realized it sits much lower than I expected. (I wont even use the cutting board, because you'd have to awkwardly bend over to do so.) The only downfall were the baskets, they are a little stiff and brittle. They don't pull in & out smoothly. I am thinking of lining the drawers with felt or something to help. Overall it is a great piece and well worth the money! If you like the picture, you'll love the item in your home!

Couldn't initially complete the assembly as a bag of parts was missing. Contacted the manufacturer and got the parts in about a week. Instructions a bit vague but complete enough if you study them. Looks like the baskets would scratch the surface so found alternative at the local big box store. Unit looks nice and works for me. A bit expensive for a put-together-yourself.

I put this in my entry to sort out my mail before it got lost in the other parts of teh house. The trash bin is perfect to dump the junk mail and the drawers are great for all the stuff you need by the door.
The kids know not to carry the mail beyond the hall keeper.

This is the worst thing I have ever bought from Overstock, and I have bought a lot! This thing is so cheap, within days I was touching up area's with a black marker. The whole thing is crumbling, tiny piece, by piece. The wicker baskets scrape up the shelves so bad every time you slide them in and out. Would love to send it back, but do not know how they are about things that are already assembled.
