I bought this for my workplace over a year ago. I definitely decided not to buy it for my home. It's very heavy and loud and does a fair job. Just not made like the ones that earned the Dirt Devil name in the past. For my home I bought (on Overstock) a refurbished Bissell with detachable canaster and special quality attachments that work much better (GREAT, as a matter of fact) at the same price and I don't have to break my back doing stairs. At no age should vacuuming be a pain!

I like it. It is lightweight and easy to use. I like the settings for the level of the carpet or hardwood. I thought the price was very reasonable and I know that Dirt Devil is a reputable brand. I am happy with my purchase. I ordered it and it arrived within one week. All in all it was a good move.

I had a Dirt Devil Swivel Glide for years, then it broke and I purchased a diffrent brand ( it was recommended to me - and I hated it). I have several pets and need my vacuum to not loose suction and pickup debris from carpet and linoleum - the Dirt Devil does all this and more. I was so glad to find one again. I don't ever want any other vacuum.

This vaccum struggles to pick up many basic things. Many times you have to go over the item two to three times before it gets sucked up. If you look at the picture above, you'll notice that it has vents on it. These vents actually blow air out at a very strong pace. For added functionality, if you release the vacuum from its upright position, a second vent will appear, increasing the winds. With these two blowers, you'll be spreading dust like never before. On hardwood floors, you'll be sneezing and weezing, all the while chasing the dust balls that are being blow away from you.This vacuum is currently resting in my dumpster.
