I bought these bowls to match the new dishware my husband and I got for our new home. The bowls are a mix between white and cream color. That worked perfectly because our dishware was black and cream. We have another set that my mother-in-law handed down to us. Her's are a bit older and are made well. The cream ones held up nicely compared to those.

These bowls are huge, maybe too large. Like the style and weight. You could use them as serving bowls as well as soup bowls. Only gave four stars because they are extremely large.

bought to make my dad onion soup but I can see I will have many more uses for these. The size is ample and would be great for deep dish chicken pies or mac and cheese .

The design is charming. These dishes and bowls work with formal dining and informal everyday use. The size of each dish and bowl is generous. The coffee mugs are comfortable to hold.

Been looking awhile now for large soup bowls with handles, these are perfect! The design makes it easy to serve hot soup but have a strong handle that stays cool. They also microwave well and the bowl does not overheat like many dishes. I used these during Thanksgiving and received many compliments. I ordered two sets and love them!

Beautiful dinnerware can be a surprisingly large investment for newlyweds. Originally designed to help couples acquire a full set of fine china, wedding registries often now include both the formal dishes and one or two sets of casual dinnerware. However, registries are quite flexible, and you can choose just the dinnerware you want -- whether you need complete sets or a few pieces to expand what you already have. If you make a list of the pieces you want before you start shopping, you can shop quickly and concentrate on style.
When it comes to dining, presentation is everything. The right dinnerware is more than just beautiful; it also gracefully complements the different foods you enjoy and lends added importance to your home dining experience. This dinnerware buying guide from Overstock.com explains your options in formality and materials and how to care for your new dinnerware.
Dinner tables are set differently depending on the type of dinnerware and what food is served. Casual dinner table settings provide each person with the three basic pieces of silverware while formal dinner table settings provide guests with a separate piece of silverware for each course served. Plates, bowls, silverware, napkins and glasses are all part of the necessary dinnerware for setting the table. Having separate dinnerware sets for both formal and casual dining events is very helpful for setting the table appropriately.
