Perfect small table for a small area. Just what I was looking for. I'm surprised by the quality of the Rubbertree wood. Very interesting.

The table came in parts and was relatively easy put together . It was for my mom and fits in her kitchen well. It is solid wood through and through, fine finish on the top and legs as well as on the underside. I would recommend it to anyone who would like a classic wood table in their kitchen and can use a screwdriver and or an allen wrench. It really does work for four people if needed.

Very nice table to have since it is very versatile, you can fold it against wall until it's needed. Very easy to set up. Perfect for our office area with limited space.

I love this table! It fits my needs perfectly. I have a nice sized apartment but my living/dining room are a shared space and my former glass top dining table just took up too much walking around room. This table can actually seat 2 more people Than my other table! I am very happy!

I know this table was not a lot of money, but I was hoping it would hold up better. The top cracked right down a strip of wood about 14 inches the first week we had it. I was going to call and return it, but I already had it more then 30 days because it stayed packed in a box while my floors were being done, so I didn't bother. I do like the table and it is very pretty and I think it is just my bad luck with this one.

Very easy to put together Packaging was stapled into the actual table Not exactly what I was expecting. I thought the top would be an unstained wood so we could stain it ourselves to match our chairs. Now I have to find an unstained drop-leaf table top or just get a new table. The husband says with this price, we could just buy another table and switch out the base since I like the white base.

Solid wood fold down black table. Had a friend move into an apartment and she needed a smaller table, so order this one. Easy to put together, solid wood, fold down sides, black true color. Great value, excellent!

Only one minor problem. One leg was secured in the box with clear packing tape. The stickum adheared to the leg. I used IPA (alcohol) and a paper towel to remove the alcohol soluable residue. Good instructions. The table assembly was easy. The solid wood table needs to be bolted together loosley at first to line up all the bolts and then tightened. This table should be plenty strong and stable. I am very happy with this Overstock purchase.

After we put the table together we turned it over on it's legs and there was a screw protruding out on top of the table and the wood was split. (These screws were put in at the factory). My husbansd's hand was cut. We tried to unscrew it so at least it would not stick out but the screw had been stripped. Very poorly made.

I was very disappointed,in that I found the very same table at other websites for thirty-five to forty dollars cheaper and with free shipping also.

I looked at the other reviews and decided on this table because I really wanted a drop leaf at this size. I had almost purchased a small drop leaf table from Ikea but they were out of stock. This one is far better. The legs are attached by two bolts each, which makes it feel very solid, along with the solid wood out of which it is made. The leaves are held up by two wooden sliders each, so they feel secure. The design is such that it is a comfortable table for two when the leaves are down--chairs fit under the non-leaved sides. I would have given it five stars, except for the unfinished underside noted in the other reviews and the awkwardness of using the small allen wrench provided. Mine even had letters and numbers written in red, crossed out and corrected, on the underside. Fortunately, they're not evident when the table is in use. Regular hex bolts would have worked better, since you could use a ratchet wrench. Overall I'm very pleased with this purchase.

This table is the perfect size for a small apartment. It's made of real wood, not cheap particle board, and very sturdy. Assembly was very easy and did not require additional tools. Even the hex key was included. I had to give this table 3 stars because there is an aesthetic issue with the drop leafs on both sides. The underside of the table is unfinished and marked up with wood stain. This is quite apparent when the ends are dropped, which exposes the unfinished wood and stain marks leftover from manufacturing. I will have to stain the end panels myself in order to correct the problem. I recommend this table if you are unconcerned with the unfinished underside.

The table is functional for our small apartment space. It does look like the photo, but it is not made very well. The under sides of the drop leaf extensions have not been stained and are noticeable when placed in the down position. When extended, the leaf area is not completely level with the table top and droops a bit. There are plastic feet on the bottom of each leg that are helpful to protect hardwood floors, but they also enable the table to slide easily on wood flooring at times. If you are looking for an inexpensive, non-offensive kitchen table/desk this is a great option. If you are hoping for a high quality dining table, I would consider other products.

I bought this table in the black finish. It's finish is satin black and very hard, but also kind of plasticky (which makes it perfect for kids or high use areas). It seems like a laminate because of this, but it's still pretty and doesn't look particularly cheap. The base is unobtrusive and not too stylized to fit into pretty much any decor. I love pedestal tables because you don't have legs to contend with! I have mine in a built in nook in my kitchen and it's wonderful to tuck in and out as needed. It's lightweight and but sturdy, and with felt pads underneath the legs it slides in and out of the way easily. My only complaint would be with the leaf assembly--essentially it's a piece of wood that slides over to hold up the leaf and slides out of the way to drop the leaf. It feels kind of flimsy. For whatever reason the 'crack' in the top of the table where the leaf is attached is huge--almost 1/8 inch, which bothers me because it traps crumbs and food particles and sticks out like a sore thumb. All in all though for the price this is a great little table for a small room!

I actually ordered two of these tables to fit in my dining area. I love being able to extend one, both or none of the leaves to fit what I need. When I extend both leaves and place the tables side by side, it looks like one of those big tables that are usually counter or bar height.(I can seat 8 eight if needed) I didn't want a table that high because of my windows in the room being so low. I can drop one leaf on each table and put those together and seat six comfortably. I can extend both leaves and place end to end to have one long and very contemporary table.( I can seat 8 this way too) I love the color and the fact it is solid wood. My only concern is with having my two little ones sit where the leaves extend because they tend to put their weight on it and it is not as sturdy as I would like. That is the only reason I didn't give this five stars.

I have a white and wood theme in my kitchen and saw this table (I love drop-leaf tables), and saw the price. You need a ratchet wrench because the little "L" wrench provided is horrible...you'll be trying to twist your hand into the little spaces to then turn the screws...not good. However, if you have your own wrench, it's much easier and much faster. Once you put it together, you will love it! The price is great, but the value is even better and the look surpasses it all!

This table was just the right size for my studio apartment. Good solid wood. I thought it was a little funny that they even bothered to make drop leaves for it as each one was only about 6" wide. My previous drop leaf table had leaves that were 1/2 again as wide as the top of the table. It was easy to assemble except for the fact that for some reason, of the 8 bolts they included for the legs...one of them was 3/8" TOO SHORT!. It took 3 hardware stores to find a replacement (metric, & most stores didn't carry a 2-3/8" length). I ended up with a 2-1/2" bolt but it worked. Makes you wonder what they were thinking when they packed the box... Overall, its a nice table, and I anticipate using it for years.

I read the other reviews on this table before ordering it. The price was certainly right and it fits in the little kitchen nook of my new apartment very nicely. It arrived quickly, well packaged, with no damage, and was pretty easy to assemble. Like so many instruction sheets, it had drawings with no written instructions. All of the parts were included. I was impressed that it was made in Nepal. I have no spacial orientation skills, but despite that, I was able to assemble the table in just over an hour. I love that the wood grain on the drop leaf matches the wood grain on the table top where it attaches. My dad is a fine old New England cabinet maker, and I admire nice wood materials and craftsmanship. I love the height, the solidness - no wobbling and the size of the table. I absolutely love this table.

As another noted, the "seam" where the 2 halves meet in the middle has a small, uneven gap. This seems to vary a bit as the table is used and the wood and hardware settle into position. I think I will also need to smooth out where the 2 halves meet so they are more flush to each other. The center leaf fits well, and tends to minimize the uneven gap between the table halves, but we don't plan to use the leaf much for just the 2 of us. One correction to a different reviewer: the top is not actually a laminate, but it is a pieced together slab of wood. This is very common with rubberwood furniture from Asia. Try to picture the end of a board cut into the shape of spread fingers with gaps matching the fingers of the next piece of wood. It's very solid and likely more stable (less prone to warping) than a single sheet of wood. This is a soft wood, similar to American pine, so take care not to drop heavy, hard objects on it, and make sure you give it a coat of oil and/or polish routinely to prevent staining. Maybe a coat of varnish or polyurethane if that's more to your liking. I anticipated what I was buying so I wasn't surprised with any of the characteristics noted above. Still, a good buy that fits our needs.

I bought this table for my son to use in his apartment. This is a great little table! The wood grain is beautiful, and the wood is thick and rich. It is a very stable, heavy, well made product.

Drop-leaf tables come in many different styles, each of which is compact and functional in addition to being beautiful. Here are the top five types to consider when you are shopping for a drop-leaf dining table.

Some shapes work better in small spaces than others, and some features can help you make the most of the room you have.
Your dining room is a place where family and friends gather for special occasions. The dining room furniture you choose will show that everyone is welcome in your home. Chances are the dining room furniture you buy now will be the furniture you will have for many years to come. Knowing a few key facts will help you shop intelligently and purchase dining furniture that will meet your needs and last for years.
